Sadly we didn't seem to get any youngsters up from the D league last year. Just few veteran scrubs. Are any of the guys from last years Jam team likely to be invited to camp?

"The Suns have a lot of perimeter shooting, but not a lot of inside scoring. Slide Terrence Jones in at power forward, and it's instant rim scoring. Jones' perfect fit would be on a team with a lot of perimeter shooting and a center that won't clog up the paint; which paints the mold for Phoenix."

So, who is the Suns center that doesn't clog the paint? Who are all the three point shooters on the Suns. I don't get this evaluation of the Suns or Suns roster. Seems to be clueless.

Seems to be from 4-5 years ago.

Nobody but die hard Suns fans has actually watched them play since then.

Yep. And honestly, it seems to be our MO in recent history going back 20 years. We don't have a force in the middle, and we have great shooting, and we like to run run run.

In 13-14 people noticed, and deservedly so .

The media, fans and the actual league talked about the Suns and how interesting they were, how primed for a bright future, etc. Our games were the shit, much more often than not.

Some Kidd teams defended well (uncle Cliff). But the paint has always been miserable, where paint means defense/rim protection and rebounding.

2006 was ok by commettee, anchored by KT while he lasted. RoLo was something for a brief time circa 2010.

See a pattern? Protect Nash' ass, give him executors and get wins.

The Big Shaqtus. One of the best away jerseys ever, btw.

The shooting cliche doesn't apply this time though. We do run.

It's also traditional that the Suns play pretty but that's gone too.

I guess my point is that the vast majority of the time over the last 20 years, you could say that and be right. So why bother actually understanding when the rest of the world can guess with 80-90% accuracy.

I'm just ready to move on from Markieff, even if it means that we don't get a huge windfall in the trade.

I'd be happy to run Tucker/Teletovic/Leuer and Chandler/Len at the 4. We could start the Twin Towers against a few teams - Grizz, Spurs, Bulls come to mind. Otherwise, I think Tucker is at least as good a rebounder as Keef, and if we could just get him to be able to hit the 3 from the top of the key as well as he shoots it from the corner, I think we'd be better off starting Tucker and Warren against most teams.

I really want to see Warren play with the starters. I think his cutting will really open things up for Bled and Brandon.

Of course it is. I got a kick out of it. Not sure any others (except maybe INF) got it.

Nah. The opportunity is there to get something reasonable in return. Yes, I am bored right now and annoyed with Markieff. I would love for a trade to happen just for something interesting to happpen. But there is a bigger picture.

I am sure McD is getting offers. He is just waiting until things heat up. They will as we progress through September.

You guys should read this article that summarizes the Morris last year: http://www.brightsideofthesun.com/2015/ ... snt-been-a

It starts with the extension which was last September. Then it goes all the way to this week when Marcus fires his agent. It's a bad read when you consider everything all at once like that.

For the TL;DR crowd...

Let's do an updated recount of everyone the Morris twins have disrespected in the past year:
  • an opposing player (KCP)
  • the referees (Constant technical fouls.)
  • their own coach (Marcus yelling at Hornacek on National Tv.)
  • the media (Markieff blowing off the media after 35 point game against Thunder.)
  • (allegedly) a former mentor (The assault charges.)
  • all the fans who paid less than a grand for their seat (Calling out the fans for being too quiet.)
  • the Suns front office (Marcus blamed Suns for trade.)
  • bandwagon fans (Marcus on Twitter after he was traded.)
  • the judge presiding over their case (Didn't show up for court.)
  • their entire Suns experience (Marcus claiming on Twitter he was never a Sun.)
  • their agent (Marcus fired Leon Rose.)
Go Suns!

Reminds me of a quote from Vegas Vacation:

Cousin Eddie: Oh yeah, Yuban Coffee. You know you can sprinkle that stuff on anything? Ice cream, mashed potatoes, or just eat it right out of the can for a quick pick me up.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Man, I thought someone else posted it, I looked through the off-season thread twice AND the Morris twins thread twice. Silly me, I forgot to check the Coach Hornacek thread. Makes sense.
