Game Day: Lakers (16-55) @ Suns (19-51), Wed 3/23/16

Time: 7:00 pm AZ (7:00 pm PT/10:00 pm ET)
Place: Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix, AZ
TV: FSAZ, NBALP
It is Kobe Bryant's final game in Phoenix. It is Devin Booker's one and only chance to play against him. Russell is questionable with a bruised left shin. Chandler is also questionable with his back spasm issue. In true Laker fashion, a woman has accused Nick Young and Jordan Clarkson of harassing her in Hollywood.
Go Suns!!!

I bet that great Suns crowd will be cheering loudly tonight.
For Kobe and the Lakers.

Is Kobe actually playing? It seems like he always stubs his big toe or something before playing the Suns and sits.
As always F the Lakers no matter what the standings say.

I find it interesting that Kobe is having this whole league-wide love-fest while Duncan will probably just fax in a retirement letter this summer and that will be that. I'm just guessing that he'll retire, but when he does, it will definitely be without all this fanfare - even though he's just as deserving of the send-off.

Jesus. This team has no will to win whatsoever.
Tyson might not be playing for ping pong balls, but the rest of the team looks like they're investing in powerball tickets.

Halftime positivity ... well ... Booker has 13 points?

Honestly I'm watching the much better Warriors/Clippers game. ESPN. C'mon over.

Clips actually look somewhat competent and hungry in this game. They have a pretty nasty pick-and-roll between Paul and DeAndre. You watch them humming along for a while and then eventually you realize, "Oh hey wait, Blake isn't even playing." Hmmmmmm.

I've watched the first three minutes so far. Stuck with the Lakers' broadcast. They estimate the crowd is 85% Lakers fans. Some ugly basketball after three minutes. Suns are up 1-0. Projected final score: 16-0. Ugh.

I regret to acknowledge that the team's energy recovered only once Mirza replaced Alex in the lineup.
Alex has sucked hard since the Warriors game. A soft, bricklaying chimney of a basketball player.

Suns woke up in the second half. I'll take a win over the Lakers any day. And at least I heard the proper smattering of boos for Kobe.

I just know we will end up seeing the Lakers pick fourth and give it away, a pick that could and should have been ours.

I'd actually be kind of relieved. Not that it would justify the trade but I'd feel better about it. The prospects available at #4 this year aren't all that special. Buddy Hield is the only one I'd clearly take over Knight and he plays the same position as Booker

Good thing we played PJ Tucker 43 minutes and the entire second half. Matching up with the offensive force that is Metta World Peace should definitely take precedence over developing our young players.
