The funny thing is that I'll probably reply again in 1-2 weeks and laugh again at the same joke.

Good lord, imagine me once I start having kids. Then I'll forget things mid-sentence.

Yes you will. I'm 40 now and have two (9 & 7) and feel like I have no memory any more.

Shout out to carey for somehow being board MVP despite having two rugrats running around. How does he do it? (large amounts of illegal stimulants??)

Everyone see this D'Angelo Russel / Nick Young stuff? DAR secretly video taped Nick Young saying he cheated on Iggy. Then I guess he leaked it to a tabloid? Unclear how the video got out.

This is something I could never in a million years see Booker doing...and that makes me smile. DAR is now damaged goods if his teammates are unwilling to play with him. It's a good day when the Lakers shit the bed.

Environment is always a part of development and I think the Lakers have failed/been failing DAR. From Byron Scott to the Kobe love-fest, they haven't nurtured the talent nor provided him with the support system necessary. It's one of my biggest fears with Booker and our franchise as it is currently. We need to build around him with key veterans, a legit coaching staff and allow him to grow and improve as a SG only. Experimenting him at PG, playing him in untraditional lineups, constant losing will only ruin him.

To add to what ShelC said, one of the main problems for D-lo is the kind of players he is surorunded by. I don't mean Kobe, whose display of fame and legacy I actually don't see as a bad thing in meta terms (after all Dlo gets to taste first hand all that Lakers glamour, etc). And Jordan Clarkson is healthy help, but problem is having proven chuckers such as Williams and Young. You have to put dependant role players around the alleged next great passer, not selfish guards who think they can take over games. We don't need to be reminded of who sounds like this on or roster.
On Byron I agree. His management of the rookie at the beginning of the season was horrible. You can't afford risking damage to your jewel. Hornacek was guilty of this as well.
As for our own, if everybody is kept (and I'd of course try hard to not let it happen, the roster must be overhauled), I think Booker has secured the starter nod at SG next year. I am interested in seeing Bledsoe-Booker, with Knight off the bench if he can't be moved.
What Booker is doing now, carrying the team, is useful for his development in my opinion. He needs the pressure. There is a chance this is the new Brandon Roy, with Ray Allen's shot.

Having Swaggy P on your roster is the definition of a bad environment. Putting an immature 19 year old with him is just lighting a match to it.

Our guys at least are real pros, it seems (and once the Morrii were dumped).

Things certainly have gotten better, haven't they. Even with all the frustration about Knight's play, he seems to be a decent human being and a good locker room guy.

Yep. At the moment our issues seem limited to basketball mostly.
