Congrats to Gogi.

Hopefully his career trends the way of past winners like Kevin Love, Zach Randolph and Paul George and not former Suns Boris Diaw, Hedo Turkoglu and Aaron Brooks.

Nice! Way to go Dragon. He had a hell of a year.

That fadeaway baseline/elbow jumper was a big reason he had such a good shooting year. I wonder what move he'll add next year?

Weird, I figured he had no shot because #mcdo didn't trade for Pau Gasol.

LMAO. #mcdoOUT!!

Congrats to Goran. Well deserved. You could make a case for about 5-6 guys on our roster as being "most improved," but none more than the Dragon.

Grats to the fire breather. I'm sure he'd have rather been an All-Star but this is nice too.

Great news. It's always nice when this award goes to somebody who's actually improved and didn't just got more minutes. The line is not always clear but this time it's actually the most improved player in the NBA. Let's see if he is voted in the second or third NBA teams.

Dragic: 199 driving layups this season (including reverses). Made 76.9%, blocked 6 times LeBron: 192 driving layups, 78.1%, blocked 8 times

NVM my post in the news thread, I didn't see this one!

Based on the ballots I've seen posted online, I think that Goran will also get either 2nd or 3rd team All-NBA as well. Well deserved.

IIRC, a lot of people on this board called it -- move him into a Ginobili (as starter) role and he will excel. What's amazing is how he did this when Bledsoe was out, when he was getting intensively defended night after night, often on a bad ankle.

Can he do the 50-40-20pt thing again? I can see him even improving upon his percentages -- but his scoring average might drop to 18-19 with Bledsoe + other offensive threats around the entire year.

Well deserved.

Fun fact I just learned: Goran has a brother named Zoran who plays in Spain.

It's extraordinarily difficult to repeat. Since '93 James has done it once (in a MVP year), Novwitski once (MVP year), Durant twice, and Dragic this season.

Funny thing is that he probably won this award with his play at the point guard position when Bledsoe was out.

I doubt Dragon will get 20 ppg next year if we retain most of our current roster and add rookies/FAs. But I'd be delighted to see him stay around his current level. He's efficient and he makes the team better. I'm fine with him scoring 15-18 ppg if he keeps up his good numbers and gets others involved.

Well deserved - Dragic was the biggest on-the-court reason for the Suns improvement this year.

Good for you Goran, i see an Allstar game in your near future. I would like to see his assists go up, but with 2 point gaurds i guess thats a stat you cant really take in to account.

i would have voted for gerald green. looking at the pdf file, the people whose opinions i value the most voted for green.

i may be a dragic fan, but GERALD GREEN deserves the award.
