Poll: Who should the Suns take at #4?

Let's assume that Simmons and Ingram are taken, but everybody else is still on the board. Who do you take, and why?

Bender, mostly by default since there aren't any options I really like.

Bender, because I think he is the most likely to become an allstar (besides maybe heild). I do think he is a big gamble, but not as big a gamble as skal. Sabonis will fall.
But I would be very interested in trading it.

My Preference
1. Hield
2. Sabonis
3. Murray

Sabonis (reaching I guess).

I voted Bender, but if you can get a player like D'Angelo Russel for the pick, I think you have to do it.

Chriss, but I'd change my vote to hield if we could also trade Knight. I'm OK with bender too. I'd be very disappointed with brown or poeltl. I'd be disappointed with Murray or Dunn as well. Mostly because I think hield is better and we don't have room for gaurds. Skal and Sabonis I like, but not at 4, I'd be happy with them at 13 or say 8 if we made a trade.

I'm honestly surprised that so many of you want Sabonis at 4.

We disagree on this one. I loved him coming out of college and wasn't discouraged at all by his rookie season. It's rare for a 19 year old PG to put up the numbers he did and he was in a less than ideal environment. Now about the off the court stuff.... there we're probably on the same page.

I think Russell is more valuable than the 4th pick. Again, we'd absolutely have to move Knight if we made that trade and might as well move bledsoe too. Russell/Booker could be great offensively, but they'd get torched on D.

I went with Bender, but I think Murray would be my second choice. I want to avoid Hield and Chriss, and 4 is way too high for Sabonis. Brown is my distant third choice.

I went with Bender. Hield would be my second choice. I know he doesn't fit, but he is going to have a great NBA career. He will be an all-star and you just cannot pass that up.

I went with Bender but I'd also be happy with Hield. Bender may take a little time but I think he's got the skills to be a very good player.

Bender, is a swing for the fences, but considering most of the available talent is a gamble as well, go big or go home.

At #4 I think I'd be either happy with Hield or Murray. We really suck, we don't have the luxury of picking for need at this point, we need an infusion of talent on this team.
*I wouldn't mind Dunn either, especially if that signaled the jettison of Bledsoe and Knight.

No kidding. Turnover machine who can't shoot.

For the record, I went with Bender. However, all my knowledge is from reading and internet videos. Can't wait for Thursday to see who we get!

Your description of Russell sounds more like Emmanuel Mudiay?
Do you realize Russell hit more threes and at a higher percentage than Devin Booker? Also, this turnover machine averaged a whopping 2.5 turnovers a game. Booker averaged 2.1. And let's not forget he's a 19 year old.
He may have been overrated going into the season, but if anything he's underrated now.

Dunn is growing on me but I'd be hesitant to take him with Bledsoe and Knight still on the roster. I'd put him and Booker in the backcourt though and let them play off each other and facilitate offense. I'm a huge fan of Sabonis but he's probably a reach at 4. Still, I think a solid case could be made for him there. Bender is probably the choice if he's there at 4, which I'd be OK with, but doubt we'd see a return on him for at least 2 seasons. Chriss seems more athlete than ballplayer and his rebounding #s are extremely problematic for me. We need high IQ basketball players on this team, especially if we stick with our point guards who don't really have high bball IQs.
