One brain tumor and multiple brain surgeries won't stop former Louisville standout Kyle Kuric from getting back on the court.

Per The Courier-Journal, pro basketball reporter David Pick released the news of Kuric's return saying he will play in the Phoenix Suns summer league in Las Vegas, which runs from July 8th-18th.

Keep in mind, this news comes just months after Kuric underwent emergency surgery to remove a brain tumor.

While playing this past season for Gran Canaria in Spain, Kuric started having serious headaches, leading to his diagnosis.

The 26-year-old was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in November, when he underwent his first surgery to have it removed. According to WDRB, the surgeries were so severe that afterwards Kuric's mother said she wasn't sure he was going to make it.

"We weren't sure he would survive the flight back -- getting on a commercial flight for 8-10 hours with no medical personnel -- he would have been with his wife and the kids," Kyle's mom said.

As if this was not enough to endure, following the surgery more bad news followed. Kuric's brain was swelling and doctors would need to perform surgery again -- one surgery to remove part of his skull to allow his brain to swell safely and another to replace the missing piece.

Shortly after waking up, Kuric had one thing on his mind to discuss with doctors-- basketball, and more specifically, when he could return to the court.

Three surgeries and a few months of recovery later, Kuric is fully recovered and back on the court in what could be the Cinderella story of the summer.

"It's a first," Kuric said. "No basketball player has ever had this done."

A first indeed, and we're sure this "first" will accompany many firsts for Kuric in his NBA journey. After all, if he can take on a brain tumor, some NBA hoops should be a piece of cake.

Anybody know where we can catch summer league games? Are they on some League Pass deal, or something?

There is an on-line package you can purchase but it isn't for sale yet. It will be posted here when it's time: http://www.nba.com/summerleague/

Most games will be on NBATv as well though.

Thanks, Carey. I'd love to go see the games, but it's a long drive from central Texas.

Oh well. Here's some actual footage of LBJ's amphibious car, not quite as fun as the scene in the movie:

My first thought was, "I didn't know LeBron James had an amphibious car."

You probably didn't know it about Lyndon Johnson either.

Oh I wish I could lol , believe it or not quite a few of my friends have gone to the Garden , Miami and Toronto to watch games but I've never been to a live game . Speaking of live games one of my favourite things was when I found out about KTAR online stream from you guys , I listened to that so many times during the Nash years Shazaaam ! :D

An international meet up at the Garden would be really fun.

Next year in Rio?

Of course if we lose those games we'll blame it on Rio.

Suns summer league team -

Dragan Bender PF Coatia
Asika Booker PG Colorado
Devin Booker SG Kentucky
Alec Brown PF Wisconsin-Green Bay
Michael Bryson SG Cal-Santa Barbara
Marquese Chriss PF Washington
Derek Cooke, Jr PF Wyoming
Kyle Kuric SG Louisville
Shannon Scott PG Ohio State
Richard Solomon PF California
Tyler Ulis PG Kentucky
Alan Williams PF Cal-Santa Barbara
Troy Williams SF Indiana

Of the players who the Suns didn't draft or haven,t already been on their roster I would guess Kuric might have the best chance of making the team. He's certainly the most interesting story -
