Sorry for the late start. The Knicks & Cavaliers are battling on TNT right now. After hanging close in the first half the Knicks are now down 30 with 4 min to go in the 4th. Probably not the start Hornacek was hoping for.

Ronnie Price was waived by OKC. It's really odd for them to give him a 2 year guaranteed contract then waive him. Is it time for him to look for a coaching job?

Ha ha! Some "super" team. Blown out at home. Love it! 0-1. No winning streak to worry about to start this season.
And how about those Spurs? Pretty impressive, dominant performance.

Warriors got little from their bench, while San Antonio's subs killed it.

Curious. Last season was perhaps his best.

Let's all take a moment to remember how the Suns passed on Kawhi Leonard to pick Markieff Morris.
Also, who the heck is Jonathon Simmons? 20 points! How do the Spurs find these guys?!

And Kawhi dropped a career best in points. Weird that it's just 35. LMA and Kawhi almost make a full offense.

He was balling last year, too. Was in line for an increased role before the season began.

They do their job better than most?

The guy who picks and the guy who develops the picks is the same guy. Pop knows exactly what he wants and then commits to developing that player. He doesn't hesitate and second guess himself. I think their success is more on the development end than the picking end. Look how much success they have had with players who have bounced around elsewhere.

Doesn't matter which end it is on, they do their job better than most, and bigly better than us.

I think the NBA should start a channel or program similar to the NFL Red Zone for nights like tonight, when there's so many games going on at the same time.
I know NBATV has something kind of like it, but they spend to much time yacking in the studio and showing commercials. I only want live game action and highlights, ditch the talking heads and commercials.

That would be cool!

Joel Embiid... That guy is pretty damn good.

Anthony Davis' final line: 50 points (17/34 FG; 16/17 FT), 16 rebounds, 5 assists, 7 steals, 4 blocks in 41 minutes. But Pels lose 107-100 to the Nuggets in their opener.

It's really nice to see Embiid actually play. And the guy has brass balls, talking trash and cracking jokes. He's like the Deadpool of basketball or something. I like it; the league needs a little more of that.
Also glad to see that Anthony Davis is back to his full strength. Pity both of these big men are trapped on awful teams.

I was actually impressed with the sixers and think they might surprise this year. They won't make the playoffs, but they might win 30 games. Embiid looks good and so does Sergio Rodriguez. I think Dario saric will be a player as well. They moved the ball very well and their offense looked good. I'd trade okafor for a 2/3 wing I if they can find a taker.

If Embiid stays healthy, he'll be a monster. He's a natural basketball talent. It's uncanny.

I heard on AZ radio that he learned to shoot FTs by watching white guys.

Yeah, but who did he watch to learn to jump?
