This seems like the best choice given the options and constraints we are presented with. I am not hugely excited about Kokoskov, but he seems widely respected around the league and seems like a guy worth giving a chance. And I'm encouraged about his strong relationship with many European players such as Dragic and Doncic.

It seemed that this was the direction that we were eventually going to go. Im fine with the hire--it just seems par for the course. The quote that I have had in my head about the team since early spirng when they talked about turning the page this summer is "If you always do what you've always done, you will always get what you've always got." This doesn't strike me a different direction kind of hire.

Also, I know that it is not important, but I would love to see the Suns pay more than the minimum, even if he doesnt have experience. Lets start building the brand of Suns basketball being more than the g league team of the NBA.

Just because he wasnt a former NBA head coach doesnt mean this isnt a different direction. They actually interviewed multiple candidates, pursued big names and then hired arguably the best assistant coach in the NBA as the HC. Watson was handed the job, Triano was interim, Horny wasnt exactly a huge get. This seems better, he's been successful in Europe, has a solid NBA track record, this is a good hire.

Me too! After Budenholzer, he was my top choice. I hope we have a diamond in the rough.

I think he has question marks but all the candidates we heard about did so it is as good of a hire we could hope for.

With Kokoskov's Utah connection, I wonder if the Suns might pursue Derrick Favors as a FA. He can play 4 or 5.
