Y'all probably remember that I like Dillon Brooks a lot. A LOT. I still think we could have gotten a better deal. At least hold out for Rabb when our PF rotation is so shitty.

But to answer your question, Bone, yes it makes Rivers our starting PG. Feel free to make this its own thread.
Suns trade Ariza to Wizards <record scratch> Psych!

This is thread-worthy for sure. I made a thread for the trade. Let's post our thoughts and updates over there.

Not a bad deal. Rivers can play, not great, but decent. and his contract will expire after this year. So at least we're not sacrificing cap space. Brooks and Shelden played well against us, so that'll be nice. I think the Wizards got bent over, they gave up Rivers and Oubre for Ariza. Seems like an overpay for a rental.

I'm sorry but that's really uninspiring. Rivers is just a younger Crawford & may not even be as good as he is right now. I'm not really interested in tuning in to watch Austin shoot 15 times a game.
As far as Selden we have enough wings that can't shoot. Brooks CAN though.

If we’re getting Dillon Brooks, I like the trade. It’s not like Ariza was going to net us some great package.

Trevor Ariza was a valuable trade asset. Multiple teams were calling us about him. He had actual trade value. And we give him up for complete bantha fodder. I can't believe it. ... I mean, I can believe it, given that we have a garbage quasi-GM and garbage owner. But it's unconscionable.
