Thanks for the thread and links as usual, carey! Wow, I hadn't heard that story about Towns getting his car hit by a semi truck. That is super scary. Imagine the devastation if he had been seriously injured or killed.

That's how I was paralyzed. Semi ran over my car on that little overpass near Casa Grande on I-10 heading to Tucson. Driver couldn't move to the shoulder or median because there was no shoulder or median to move to.

Memphis beating the Lakers is fun.

Horrible. A high school friend was killed by a semi that ran over him at a red light while he was on his motorcycle.

Huh. I had no idea that Markieff Morris had been traded by the Wizards. I was surprised to see him playing for the Thunder. Looked it up and he was traded to NO who promptly waived him before he was picked up by OKC.

Back in the ooooold old days, NBA video games would calculate a player's shooting based on their season percentage, but they would ignore the number of shots. So it had a bug where, if some big center happened to have shot something like 2 / 2 on three-pointers in the prior season, they would think that center was an outstanding 3-point shooter. I remember in EA's "Lakers vs Celtics and the NBA Playoffs," Bulls center Will Perdue would drain literally every 3-pointer he put up, even from half court or other crazy spots. It was delightful.

I remember you could dunk from about the 3 pt line if you tried with Tom Chambers from the top corner. Unstoppable shot, double clutch two handed dunk.
