Sorry, I just watched this and I'm not going to suffer alone. This was a surprising year and this play was probably the difference in us going to the Finals in the Nash years and against a Boston team that I think we would have beat. It may have been an over the back on Artest but Richardson should have been blocking out harder.

I still think about the play. For me, it was Gentry's screw up not having Lopez out there for the defensive possession and that exact situation.

You asked for it...no video...but its this...Game 4, Spurs/Robert Horry of the playoffs...
In reality, this to me was the BIGGEST Suns tragedy...no way the Spurs beat the Suns when KJ and Barkely were throwing down 50-60+ points again with a healthy Danny Manning...…
Can't find a reference article, but the Michael Finley injury just prior to the playoffs cost us that year. We didn't have anybody that could guard Sean Elliott with Mike down so we lost...that was another year that we got bit in the arse...its tough being a Suns fan sometimes......

I think it was actually worse in 1979 - they should have beaten Seattle and won the title that year.

One of my most painful Suns memories was losing to the Cotton Fitzsimmons’ coached Kansas City Kings in the 1981 playoffs. I remember the Suns being heavy favorites.

And the Kings were pretty much without their starting guards! Phil Ford missed the entire series and Otis Birdsong played in only two of the seven games!
Reggie King played out of his mind that series, and it was the beginning of the end for Truck Robinson here.

I can't get a video on here, but one of my most vivid memories of the Sun's growing up was when J.R. Reid elbowed out A.C. Green's teeth.
