Time: 7:00 pm AZ (6:00 pm PT/9:00 pm ET)
Place: Phoenix Suns Arena, Phoenix, AZ
TV: FSAZ, NBALP
Suns go for six in a row on Sunday after toppling the East best 76ers on Saturday. No time to let down against the weaker teams in the league like we've done earlier this season. This is another area for growth. Don't allow a close game.
Go Suns!!!

Apparently I have been in a coma or something because I didn't realize that the Magic's leading scorer is Nikola Vucevic who is scoring a whopping 24 ppg (on 48.8 fg% and 43.5 3pt%) along with 11.5 rpg. Their roster is pretty rough overall; their second leading scorer is Fournier, then Terrence Ross. If that's your Big 3 you may be in some trouble. They don't have a lot of 3-point shooting other than Vucevic and James Ennis III.
So obviously this is a game we "should" win. We just played yesterday, but it was an early game and this one is later in the evening, so I think the guys may be less fatigued. They have some athletic wings but their guards are much worse than ours. Curious to see how Ayton matches up with Vuc; will he get pulled too far away from the basket on defense?

If I were Monty, I'd be tempted to sit Paul out for this one. I think the Suns recent poor performances against bad teams can motivate Payne and Saric to show they're difference makers. They're eager to play and they've both looked really good when healthy.
I'd start..
Moore
Booker
Bridges
Crowder
Ayton
Moore ends up playing similar minutes as Kaminsky did against Philly with Payne getting closer to 25 minutes. Sprinkle in a little Nader/Galloway/Carter. I'd like to see Saric in a facilitator role that would complement Carter and Galloway. This means I probably wouldn't even play Kaminsky unless its a blow out or the Suns bigs are in foul trouble. I doubt Monty would be that harsh.

A win here would setup a very nice showdown with the nets.
It would be great to have a blow out for once, but I’d be happy with a solid win against an average team ,
Suns on the run!

I don't think we'd sit Paul right now as it might risk messing with a good thing since we've been rolling. Payne only just got back so why push him with extra minutes and it's not like Paul is logging super heavy minutes anyway. We could use a few games to get everyone on the same page now that we're healthy and solidify minutes and rotations.
The big question is Frank. Maybe he continues to start just for offensive rhythm and gets pulled 3-4 minutes at the start games and the 2nd half? Then we work Cam, Dario and Crowder in and let those guys play more minutes and close games. I don't think you start Dario or Cam and I think we lose Frank's passing and ball movement starting Crowder.

Starting Frank has worked out and they say if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Saric looked good yesterday after his long break so, it’s anyone’s guess who will start at 4. Monty has options now and can plug in the right guy for the job instead of being forced into a lineup by injuries.

Wasn't there a team a few years back that started someone just to pull him 3-4 minutes in? But they liked him starting games?

Love Vooch
Much like Zach Lavine, just buried on a bad team and folks maybe sleep on their talent but hey we know that story watching Book go through it.
They actually looked decent first few weeks of the season but Gordon been out, Fournier struggling with injuries also and Cole Anthony been starting to play well then got hurt too. Chance two of them might feature today but yea stating the obvious that their roster has no right hanging with us.
Let's be solid and handle business

Vooch 40 and 20 tonight? Terrence Ross is a guy who can get hot, MCW is a bigger guard who's had some good games, Bacon's a solid young player. Not sure if Anthony is playing but he's already a good NBA guard. They'll play hard and Clifford is a good enough coach but they're really hurting and don't have a lot of firepower on the perimeter or depth up front.

Magic are super banged up...they started Frank Mason, Dwayne Bacon, James Ennis, and Gary Clark the other day. Ennis is hurt now too. They started MCW on Friday and if Cole Anthony still can’t go, he’s probably starting again. Fournier is still out I believe. Should be an easy win, but gotta take care of business early.

I hope we're not looking past the Magic. A win here would send a message that we're taking care of business against *any* team. LFG.

There is no such thing as an easy win. These are the games they lose. Stay focussed.

Is this a bounce back game for Ayton to deflect from his beating by Joel last night?

But for real, this Magic team sucks. No excuse not to roll them.
I also think this is a good opportunity to move Jae back into the starting lineup. Magic are not that big up front.

We’ve lost to a lot of sucky teams this year. Sacto, Washington, Detroit, and OKC are all on similar levels of suckitude.

Many compare the Mason-Bacon line to the Mason-Dixon line so I'm hoping we don't have any issues crossing it.
