Game Day: Jazz (30-17) @ Suns (36-9), Mon 1/24/22

Time: 7:00 pm AZ (6:00 pm PT/9:00 pm ET)
Place: Footprint Center, Phoenix, AZ
TV: BSAZ, NBATV

The Utah Jazz come to town fresh off a tough, two point loss to the Warriors last night. Suns will be without Ayton, Crowder, and Payne while Mitchell will not be playing for the Jazz. It won't be easy but this is an opportunity to put even more space between us and the Jazz. Somebody will need to step up in place of our missing players. Will Stix get some of the PF minutes? I assume Cam Johnson will start and get more playing time than usual.

Go Suns!!!

Heard Rudy and Bojan may not play tonight, both got banged up last night against the Warriors.

I wanted us to see the Jazz full strength but looks like it might not happen tonight or even this week.

If we win tonight I believe it will be the longest we've ever gone into a season with single digit losses.

EDIT: The game notes linked above say it only ties the best start after 46 games, so I wonder what year it was and how long we went with 9 losses. In 1993 we fell to 36-10 and in 2005 we didn't even get close to 36-9 (but we were still 36-10).

EDIT 2: Just remembered we were really good in 1994-95 before Danny Manning got injured, so I looked up that season. It turns out that once again we went from 36-9 to 36-10 after 46 games. When was this mysterious year that the Suns' game notes speak of, and why can't they just tell us?

Finally found it! It was 2006-07 but we did fall to 37-10 after 47 games. So we have to win our next two games to go the longest with single digit losses.

Had to go double check when Cam missed his games. Those five were very early on, actually games 3 and 4 which we lost to drop to 1-3 and then the streak started so we won the next 3.
I remember everyone was losing their mind about Payton 😬🤦🏾‍♂️ so will see how we look going forward this time

The Suns will be without Ayton(expected), Crowder, Payne, Nader, Kaminsky, and Saric...so it's close to an even matchup? Haha

Or they don’t like their chances tonight anyways, and will rest some of their guys for the rematch in a couple of days.

Close...except Paul/Book > Conley Jr./Bojan

ETA: D'oh! Hadn't see the latest. Uh, oh, Jazz. Might not be pretty.

I was trying to get to this game but pretty sure I was scammed by a craigslist posting. It's my fault and I cut my losses due to red flags, but why do people have to suck so much?

It happens all the time with Craigslist tickets. I was looking for Suns tickets for a game last year and after about 15 scammers I gave up on Craigslist. Go with Ticketmaster or Seat Geek. Much better results.
