YOUR Phoenix Suns are looking for their 10 straight win tonight in Phoenix as they host the San Antonio Spurs. A 40th win tonight would clinch the best record in the West heading into the All-Star break. The Spurs are coming off one of their best wins of the season as they beat the Bulls, who are 2nd in the East, at home.

With a win tonight, the Suns would move to 40-9 on the season, becoming the first team in the league to 40 wins and the best start in franchise history through the first 49 games of a season

The Suns enter tonight riding a league-best nine-game win streak and with a win, would pick up a sixth-straight win over the Spurs, marking the longest winning streak over San Antonio in franchise history

Chris Paul notched his 18th-career triple-double Friday and second of the season with 21 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds in the win

Devin Booker scored 29 points Friday and is averaging 14.1 points on 58.0 percent shooting in the first quarters over the last eight games

Bismack Biyombo notched a double-double Friday, his fourth over the last six games

The Suns are the only team in the NBA to rank in the top-5 in offensive, defensive and net rating this season.
It is crazy to me that Paul only has 18 of these in his ~1200 games played, but 2 of them have at 36 in his lowest usage year of his entire career.

Don't the Warriors have the tiebreaker if both teams end up with 40 wins through February 6 (All-Star coaching deadline)?

EDIT: Nevermind, we would still have fewer losses.

Well that’s a less than ideal start to the game.

Looks like CP3 has decided that the second quarter should be his quarter going forward.

They definitely need to pick up another guard to go with Payne off the bench.

Payton’s defense has been OK lately, but man he is a total zero on offense.

Just really has no ability to hit any shot, anywhere on the court

The last few minutes have been pleasant to watch. We are just letting them shoot open 3s on defense which has kind of worked. Booker is going back to the basics with those midrange pull ups. Refs are allowing a bit of physical defense, good to see the team not getting rattled.

Shamet and Payton have both been terrible this year.

Something wrong with Cam? Don’t think we saw him come back in and Shamet is out there closing the half.

Edit: He was in there and played 16 minutes, just didn’t close for some reason.

I don’t know if I’m necessarily worried about this game yet but I am worried about our defense going back a couple of games.

Bigs need to take at least one step up on the PNR defense.

So we’ve decided to take control of the game I see. Small ball lineup is doing it. Spurs were just killing us on midrange shots with our drop bigs…this switching lineup is working wonders

Booker -19 in this one and that feels right. Offense has stalled when he’s running it.
