Time: 5:00 pm AZ (4:00 pm PT/7:00 pm ET)
Place: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, PA
TV: BSAZ/NBALP

Tough test tonight on the 2nd night of a back to back against top MVP candidate Joel Embiid. Luckily, the Suns have the bodies to throw at him. It will be a nice test for Ayton and crew.

I hate back-to-backs. I wish we could face Philly at full strength and rested. Embiid loves going off against Ayton; curious to see how that matchup plays out. Does JaVale do well guarding Embiid?

Not a lot of data on that. Strictly based on NBA.com's match up data, he has only guarded him for a total of 14 minutes in his entire career. Philly has scored 44 points in those 14 minutes. That would be 151 points in a 48 minute game...

Good. I hope it pisses them off. We have lots of Centers and lots of fouls.

Feels like this game is going to have some weird match ups and cross-matches. I expect more fast-break/secondary break scoring as both teams lose guys in transition.

I expect to be stressed out at various points.

The most recent time these teams met last spring resulted in a highly competitive and entertaining game. IIRC, Booker had a ridiculous fading baseline shot over Thybulle to clinch the win.

My memory is the ludicrous full court heave by Embiid at he buzzer. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that.

Remember Thybulle blocking Book and then Book hitting a tough pull up late.
Forgot this part

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Selective memory.

What's with the camera angle on the Philly broadcast? The operator is a little trigger happy with the zoom button.

A little bumpy so far. Other than PG and Book, not much happening. Philly's defense is very good, and Embiid is really hard to stop.

Nice end to the quarter, with Bridges hitting a few buckets and then Cam Johnson making a 3. If not for a buzzer-beating 3 by Thybulle, we'd be in awesome shape.

McGee is going to get called for defensive 3 seconds at some point, but it's funny how how much space he's giving Drummond.

Mikal has a little pep in his step for this one.

Drummond, Niang, Korkmaz, Thybulle, and Green on the court for the Sixers and it's oddly giving the Suns trouble.

Sixers bench is playing great. I thought we'd have an edge on them there but they have a real second unit. Niang in particular made several good shots including 2-2 on 3s.
