Time: 5:00 pm AZ (4:00 pm PT/7:00 pm ET)
Place: Amway Center, Orlando, FL
TV: BSAZ/NBALP
I left plenty of time for a BG gimme win but getting too close to gametime. As far as I know, still missing the mostly big 3. Still no excuses not to win this one.

Did CamJ even travel with the team? I thought I read he stayed in Phoenix. Maybe that was just for the first game...

Suns were up 14-2 when I turned on the game. Magic have been on a 15-0 run since and Wendell Carter is absolutely cooking Ayton.

Started the game off perfectly with DA dominating on offensive for a 14-2 lead, then Orlando goes on a 15-0 run out of a TO. Not great.
CP is the master at pace, slowing things down to pick apart a defense for good shots. Right now we're playing at one speed and taking quick shots. Gotta slow down a bit and make the defense work.

Nice response from the 2nd unit - headband boys Holiday, Craig and McGee bringing the energy. 28-22 end of the 1st.

McGee hasn’t looked great lately…wonder if he could use some time off. Let Bismack play for a couple weeks

They can make a 9-point lead disappear pretty quickly sometimes.

I'm hating Payne and Ayton right about now

Magic packed the paint and we just don’t have the guys to break that scheme tonight…Payne needs space. Shamet really the only guy that really made them pay.
Let’s see if we hang on.

Great play at the end by Bridges and I thought Ayton was very good down the stretch. We had a run midway through the 4th when we had a decent lead but just rushed things horribly and the lead disappeared - that’s where the cool head and experience of Paul is missed.
But it’s good for Payne, shamet and co to get some reps in crunch time. It could be very valuable come playoffs

Great play by Mikal on the last defensive possession.
IDK what the Magic were doing for most of the game. Wendell Carter could do pretty much anything he wanted against Ayton or McGee but they just stopped giving him the ball. I appreciate Cole Anthony's irrational confidence, but the last thing Magic fans want to see is him hit a couple of tough shots because then everyone knows he's going to jack up another 3-4 bad ones.

By teh skin of our teeth tonight! Won't get away with that tomorrow against the Heat but hopefully we get Book back. DA with the strong stat line, Shamet with another solid shooting night, Crowder with some big shots and Payne played well enough and executed with DA on a key final possession. Still gave up too many points in the paint and didn't get a ton of high quality shots we're used to. Magic played tough and have a lot of young talent but need more seasoning.
