Game Day: Suns (63-17) @ Jazz (48-32), Fri 4/8/22

Time: 6:30 pm AZ (6:30 pm PT/9:30 pm ET)
Place: Vivint Arena, Salt Lake City, UT
TV: BSAZ/NBATV

Both teams rested key players on Wednesday. I'm not sure what to expect tonight. The Jazz are currently in the No. 5 spot in the Western Conference. They are two games behind fourth-place Dallas and one game ahead of sixth-place Denver. Both teams may be using this as a tune up game for the playoffs. Enjoy the game, Split T!

I think Utah is only a half game up on Denver right now. And Denver's only remaining game is Sunday against the Lakers. I think if Utah loses today, they will likely fall to the 6th seed (Denver swept them this year) and likely get bumped by GSW in the first round.

GSW might be a better chance for them though. I don’t think they can beat Dallas…they might be able to beat GS if Curry isn’t healthy…and they avoid us in round 2…not sure they should matter though as I don’t envision Utah getting out of round 1

Am I wrong that it may be in our best interests to let Utah have this win? Just based on the playoff matchups. I think I'd rather potentially face Utah in the 2nd round than most other teams. So I think I'm happy letting them stay in that 4-5 bracket.

I just don’t think it matters, I don’t think they can win a 1st round matchup. And I’m not that scared of Denver who’d be the team moving to 5. We annihilated them last year and they are basically the same team.

Also I don’t want to watch us lose in person

The Fellas are locked in for this one. Smells like a comfortable 64th.

Why does Ayton pass back out to the perimeter when he’s 4 ft from the rim?! Granted Book was open and scored but…just sayin. Maybe I’m overreacting.

He's 1-6 shooting at halftime.

Wow crazy half. We started strong and played with a purpose so if we can turn that back on in the 2nd half we should be OK. Book's got 24 carrying the offense and the starters played a lot in the 1st half. Need something from the bench - Holiday, Shamet, Craig, Cam, JaVale are 2-9 combined. Only two 3s made to the Jazz's 6. We're doing a good job on Mitchell but then a guy like Bogdanovic slips thru for 11pts and Whiteside's got 9pts with 4 ORs.

2 poor calls on Booker and Ayton at the beginning of the 3rd and then a clear goaltend by Gobert on Ayton and no call. Wtf

Every time the Jazz drive it's a foul. Anytime the Suns get itnin the paint they just rake arms and no call

Holiday mugged at the rim no call then he gets called on a reach 80 feet away from the hoop. Comical
