Place: Capital One Arena, Washington, DC

The severely depleted Suns play the second of a back to back in Washington on Wednesday night. The Wizards upset the Suns in Phoenix after the Suns staged a furious rally to take a nice lead only to go nearly scoreless the rest of the way less than two weeks ago. The Suns had a surprising short-handed win in Memphis while the Wizards outlasted the 76ers on Tuesday night.

Interested to see if we have the legs on a B2B. They Wiz have size and skill up front wit Kuz and Porzingis. Don't think Monty goes big again tho with the starting lineup.

Well, Wiz also on a back-to-back although on their home court without the travel. At least there's that. Plus, I overheard Ayton in the background of one of the tweets you posted from last night's game saying "we owe these guys too."

Rough first half, not a lot of juice and the legs look heavy but we're hanging in there. Down by as many as 19, cut it to 9. Wiz have a little more pop and it seems like everyone's hurting us. They're shooting 58% with Kuz, Gafford, Porzingis and Hachimura hitting just about everything. Hachimura must've seen that report about us wanting Avdija and not him.
DWJ and Okogie gave a little spark and DA's doing work inside but no one else is hitting from the perimeter and our defense isn't there.

Damn, dead thread. Are the Suns so miserable that they’re starting to lose dot-net?

Often like this for early games. We're just missing so many players it's sapped a lot of the excitement I had for the season.

Why the hell do we insist on God awful slow starts?? Then claw back the entire game and run out of gas or they hit a few lucky breaks and we have no room for error.
DA is carrying us offensively. He’s really engaged tonight

Letting go of the rope at the end of the 3rd and start of the 4th. Had the lead down to 1 and then things went sideways and the lead is back up to 15.

Nice little showcase by Rui. Still wouldn’t be excited to acquire him for Crowder.

We lost this one with the atrocious end to the 3rd quarter where it seems like we passed their team the ball on 8 consecutive possessions to go from down 1 to down 13.
Our end of the quarter lineup was Lee, Okogie, Landale, Ish and Washington - three minimum guys and two 2-way guys. That’s on Monty for not doing a better job staggering the starters and Jones for leaving the cupboard so bare.

Or look at it this way…
Being lower in the league standings increases the trade value of the Suns 1st round pick for James Jones.
(joking, kinda)

Well we only have 3 starters currently, so kinda hard to stagger them, but I agree about the bare cupboard

The Wizards hit shots tonight, we went cold and had TOs and lost it going into the 4th. We had our chances, just couldn't get over that hump. The offense is going to be rough at times until Payne and/or Shamet get back or some kind of move is made. Maybe we just try and weather the storm and tighten up the defense.

It’s not hard at all to stagger 3 players so one is on the court at all times.

But how much do you lose by not having them out there together up against the Wiz best lineup?

Suns gave them a big lead and then got it down to one and figured that was enough work for one night.

It’s our recipe for losing. This team isn’t good enough to win without giving 48 minutes of effort.
