Game Day: Suns (20-18) @ Cavs (24-14), Wed 1/4/23

Time: 5:00 pm AZ (4:00 pm PT/7:00 pm ET)
Place: Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, Cleveland, OH
TV: BSAZ/NBALP
The Phoenix Suns have not looked good as of late. They have had tired legs and seem to be going through the motions. That is not a good sign while ending a six game road trip against a very good Cleveland team where Donovan Mitchell just went off for 71 points in 50 minutes. Our 70 point player continues to be sidelined with a groin strain for the foreseeable future.

Our only hope is that the entire Cavs roster gets suspended on account of that drug test.

But this is surprising
That tweet was before Mitchell 71 so now they are 8-0

Suns are due for one of those 17 3's hit games, big fan of what the Cavs got going on over there.

I like the combo in their frontcourt of Mobley and Allen, which offer both offense and stout defense of protecting the paint. Then I like the offense of Mitchell and Garland in the backcourt. I think these four make a great balance for a team and will so for a long time.

I’m a Cavs believer…I think they could use one more guy, probably a reliable 3 and D wing that can take the toughest perimeter matchups and provide spacing on offense. Like throw Mikal on the Cavs and I’d be close to calling them the favorites.
They’ve got Mitchell who I think is a legit 1st option in the playoffs. They’ve got another creator and playmaker in Garland. Two great to elite defenders in the frontcourt that can play together or by themselves in smaller lineups. They are all under 25(except Mitchell who is 26)and signed for at least 3 years.

It would be nice if Dominayton showed up today. He’s been sleepwalking the last few games.

Could be to switch things up or maybe just to match size…not sure it matters. Cleveland is a lot better.

I'm not that bold, but I do think we'll see a much more focused effort compared to recent games on this road trip.

They’d be a good fit for Jae. If only they had something we wanted.

Options are limited to make a change, but when you're playing like we are then changes have to be made. Saric may have trouble against Mobley's athleticism. I also might've tried starting Okogie just to try and slow down Mitchell early.

I'd settle for Evan Mobley.

He still can spot up shoot but he moves like a caveman.

Everything is east-west with us. No one can get around their defender.

Chris Paul can't even run offense nor get good shots for his team anymore. Sad to watch it happen here.
