Hawks fired Nate McMillan.

I don't recall ever seeing a .500 coach fired post ASG when team is likely playoff bound.

Didn’t McMillan kinda get the job in a similar way? Maybe the hawks weren’t above .500, but he got the job and Atlanta went on a run all the way to the ECF.

Strange head coach firings there make me think a certain player might be difficult to coach.

McMillan seems like a coach who is not overtly bad but is definitely mediocre. You aren't winning a title with a coach like him. I don't think he's to blame for ATL's struggles, but he hasn't exactly found a way to manage all those guys successfully.

Since we have arguably the greatest offensive player in the history of the sport on our team, I’ll be interested to watch if KD gets him the ball down low. If not, #MontyOut.

I swear, sometimes I can’t tell if the posts I read are sincere or sarcastic anymore.

There are 2-3 posters who're significantly more critical of Monty at all times, and not all of them regularly contribute here.

Everyone else will rightfully criticize in game threads when he does something goofy, but it ends there and doesn't really bleed into other discussions.

Not surprised by the firing, but to have it happen after the team has been off for 5 days was real weird.

Everyone's favorite C Myles Turner has 40 and 8 3pm, basketball is funny sometimes.

Kris Dunn is looking spry in the first game of his 10-day with the Jazz. Still can't really shoot with range, but he's a very good perimeter defender.
