Let’s get everyone’s opinions before the season starts. If you were the decision maker for the Suns, would you have done the trade?

Just what we need, more pointless Ayton debates.

Nah, I mainly just wanted to have a poll, not a debate.

A poll where no is the first choice...curious.

This. We don't know what the Suns know regarding Ayton's mental state.

Maybe they thought Ayton was channeling Luther Wright.

You will have to enlighten me on that.

His mental state is perpetual hyperbole.

Ugh, I knew I couldn’t win no matter what wording I used. I was just going to go with, “Are you in favor of the trade?”

Exactly. All we know is that he was traded. We have all speculated as to why up down and sideways.

Would I have made the trade? Based on what I know I would say no. Ayton in the past has been a deer in the headlights. It’s like we were waiting for him to mature. A few years in now it’s obvious he was well aware that some people were disappointed in his lack of effort by all the videos and posts of him being butt hurt from it. I might have let Vogal have a crack at him and give him a chance to redeem himself before being cast away.

Then again I am not privy to the day to day goings on in the Suns org. Was it true that Booker lost all faith in Ayton? Was there bad blood going on? The Dallas series when the Suns came out in game seven clearly unfocused and seeming to not care about the game at that point seems like it was the turning point. I know something happened behind the scenes before the game that destroyed team cohesion. Someone said some shit that took all the air out of their sails. We might never know. Ayton refused to go in in the second half? Clearly we haven’t seen all the drama happening behind the scenes the past few years.

You won’t get a simple no or yes from me. The Suns run the team and it’s their job to field the team they think has the best chances of winning a Championship. It’s my job to either support them or not. I am not into second guessing their moves. The new owner clearly isn’t afraid to spend money. I’ll just sit back like I always do and enjoy the ride and not stress on things I have no control over.

Ayton is going to a new team and will want to prove to the world his worth. Will he be the same guy or will he make a leap and get serious. This could be the best thing for Ayton.

Sure it could be the best thing for Ayton. But I’m not an Ayton fan, I’m a Suns fan. I want what’s best for the Suns, not Ayton.

So do I. The jury doesn’t deliberate on whether the trade was a good one until the Suns get knocked out or win the Championship. No one on planet earth knows for sure until then.

Lol, you’re misreading that. In the sense that I was a Jordan fan, yes.

Ayton could have been the best thing that ever happened to the Suns, if they hadn’t screwed it up.
