The answer was Haliburton.
At least we can wallow in that for the rest of our lives.

The season is now a quarter finished and we still havent had the Beal-Booker-Durant trio together. Not a good sign, because they're going to need all three healthy if thet're going to accomplish anything in the playoffs.

And I would have to echo the sentiment that this team is hard to enjoy so far - in part because Booker is the only one with a history here, and so many of them are new this season. Plus the product on the court has been underwhelming.
I think next week is the week we finally see the Big 3. Wednesday or Friday would be my guess.

The KD/Beal team is better than any other team we would have fielded…

I loved Mikal as much as anyone, but a Booker/Mikal core was a recipe for 2nd round exits over the next decade.

Ya we could still go out in the 2nd round(or earlier), but this team has the ceiling of a champion. Just riskier with the age and health of our guys.

You risk being the clippers of the last 4 years, but the alternative is being the Kings. I’ve seen plenty of fun teams that had no chance to win…I’ll take a team like this that might have more lows but has a higher ceiling.

Aside from Nurk and Allen, I’m just not impressed with any of our other role players.

Little is OK.

Yuta, Okogie, KBD are a waste of roster spots. None of them warrant minutes in the playoffs.

Eubanks is a big stiff. Very little skill there. I would have preferred Frank the Tank or Dario.

Metu hasn’t been given a chance yet

Pretty good assessment except for Eubanks. He's the best shot blocker on the team and he's quite skillful around the hoop. Shoots a pretty good percentage on those little push/hook shots.

KBD is a good defensive player…his offense hasn’t been great though. He’s like a bigger Okogie…Goodwin has been good I’d say.

In todays nba you just cannot be an offensive liability out there. It’s an offense first league and having Josh/KBD and to a lesser extent Eubanks out there (certainly all 3 at once to go along with Goodwin) is a massive spacing issue. Just not effective enough defensively to overcome the offensive deficiency
