Does anyone here listen to that crew? I follow the account but never listened or watched. Espo is kind of annoying on twitter and I only pay attention to Bourquet because he covers the team.
Mostly when I’m thirsty for content during the height of free agency or draft. Is Flex leaving the valley? Did he catch a job closer to Suns broadcasting? He’s 90% annoying and has little to offer in conversation until he has some projection or scuttlebutt.

He was absolutely garbage on camera and offered nothing, I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did.

Just from the outside looking in, didn't seem like he fit with that group. He seemed more like a fan who had an inside connect at one point and parlayed that into a social following and some work with that crew. I kinda thought they were bringing him in to join forces and bump their numbers up. Wonder if they just outright got rid of him.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they are just getting rid of him, he obviously has zero broadcast training, he looks so lost. He also goes to work dressed in basketball shorts all the time, it's gross.

I think there's more under the hood there. Flex uprooted his entire family to move to Phoenix from Jersey. No one does that without some kind of contract. But once he got here he became born again into Christianity. If I'm reading between the lines that has more to do with it than anything else. They brough Flex in so Saul didn't have to be on camera as much since he runs the whole thing, but I think the whole vibe works better when it's just Espo, Gerald and Lindsey.

Eddie Johnson asking for prayers for Al McCoy, who is battling health issues

Prayers for Al and good vibes. When I think of the Suns, I think of Al McCoy. Ever since I was a kid and a fan of the Suns, he's always been the constant.

Oh, no. Big ups for Al. When I got my Nash autograph Steve came out last, but Al came out somewhere in the middle of all the guys. I was 2nd most excited to see him, and he's the littlest dude. He was super nice and chatted for a min though he clearly wanted to get on the bus back to the hotel. I should have asked him to sign something, but all I had on me was the Nash jersey.

We are incredibly lucky that Al, Jerry, Dick Van Arsdale and the Prosk are still here after all these years. I'm old and all I can remember is Al being the Voice of the Suns.

Here's to a speedy recovery Al, it wouldn't be the same without you.

Al was there for my son when he got his face smashed into a basketball court by an overzealous opponent when he was in high school. He sent my son a nice email wishing him a speedy recovery. I am there for Al wishing him a speedy recovery as well. We need a place where we can all send Al our well wishes where he'll see it.

I’ve known a few guys in my life who have this incessant habit of passively talking themselves up or trying to project confidence in whatever they talk about. It’s what makes him annoying and untrustworthy —even though he probably means well. When guys like that become successful, it makes you scratch your head.

How did that happen? Did your son recover quickly?

I've mentioned it before but an overly aggressive kid jumped on him and his head after he was already on the ground with the ball. It jammed his face into the ground and he lost a tooth and another split in half. He ended up having to get a tooth replacement in time. It's been well over 10 years now and he's fully recovered. But this reminded me of the time and how kind Al was.

I’ve so hoped and prayed that Al could make it to at least see a Suns championship, even if he couldn’t broadcast it! He deserves it more than anyone! He seemed to be doing so well at the Budenholzer intro presser. Praying for him that he can enjoy more time here with us and another Suns season!

There was a kid that it happened to at my high school. It was right before the state playoffs. The kid went for a dunk and another over aggressive defender in practice pulled hom off the rim. They had his teeth marks in the floor for years. They lost him for the playoffs and fell short in the State Championship game to South Mountain. He would have made the difference.

Barkley has some words to say about the Suns, and Bright Side has an article about it.
