Suns need a facilitator, a point guard.

That should be next.
I don't think that is the case, the Suns needs to shoot shots when they are open earlier in the clock, Booker and Beal get players open shots, they just don't shoot them. They also need to keep the off ball guys in motion, having 2 of the 3 just standing in the corner or on the wing and not be involved is poor coaching.

I don't think the issue is that they can't get people open, the issue is that in doing so it makes one of them passive/hesitant on offence. Having a proper facilitator would allow all of the 'big 3' to be aggressive and play their natural game because the burden of playmaker would be removed for the most part

Problem would be making all 3 function off the ball at the same time and having 3 guys who've average 27ppg in season not touching the ball seems insane. One would have to be traded to accommodate a PG.

I'd start by getting guys who are really good at doing something besides scoring the ball.

Those guys are all taken. Suns get what they get.

Suns still have a two first round draft picks to trade.

And they should consider trading Allen if Beal is really unmovable.

Allen re-signed I don't believe you can trade him

Would be a real Ishbia move to trade a guy who just re-upped because he likes it in Phoenix.

It would also be real Ishbia to field a rotation consisting of 5 shooting guards.

For a point guard, he sure doesn’t seem to value them much.

This debate is over. We need a point guard. When the Suns have been good, they’ve always had a great point guard. I’ll just take a competent one at this point.

I'd still rather have someone who can defend first.

I’m not talking order of operations. My statement stands.

Unfortunately, Mat Ishbia put himself in a situation where order of operations is very relevant.

OK, so is getting a PG or two second, third, fourth…? Where is it on your list?

Probably third.

1. Starter quality POA defender
2. Playable Center
3. Playable Point Guard

In a perfect world, they could work a miracle and take care of #1 and #3 with the same player.

I'm in the same place I think. We need a serviceable pass first PG who is at least average on defence.
