I was thinking about this the other day when we played Philly.
I don't remember Gordon playing much for us last year. It felt like he was always out injured, and that he didn't play that much when healthy.
But that's not true. He was 5th on the team in total minutes played and minutes per game. 28 mpg in 68 games. That man just really had no impact, and it showed big time when O'Neale came in and was an immediate boost to the team's grit and toughness.

I think that's a little unfair to Eric Gordon. He did have an impact on games; he gave us 11 ppg, .378 3pt%, 80% ft, 2 boards, 2 assists. He started 24 games for us. He gave us a veteran presence. Yeah he wasn't excellent, and we shouldn't have needed to rely on him as much as we did. But I don't think he was a bum. I don't really miss him, and I think we've replaced his production, but I think he did pretty well given the contract he was on and what we asked of him.

He was one of our better bench guys last year which isn't saying much. Although, I don't blame him at his age. We wanted him for a long time and finally got him on the clear downside of his career. We are SO much deeper this year. I like most of our bench guys quite a bit.

It's crazy looking back at some of the "bench" from last year.
Eubanks-sucks on the Jazz
Jordan Goodwin-out of the league
Watanabe-out of the league
Keita Bates-Diop-out of the league
Eric Gordon-not doing great in Philly
Udoka Azubuke-out of the league
Nassir Little-out of the league
Ish Wainwright-out of the league
Saben Lee-out of the league
Bol Bol-hasn't played a minute this year, which is unfortunate because he's actually a good player

No clue why the Rockets would do this all but gimme gimme gimme. Do it right now. Where do I sign. Royce, Dunn, Eason as our wing defenders? *chefs kiss*

That doesn't make much sense. The Rockets feel like a team waiting to combine their assets/young players for a big name. I thought that was a Durant trade initially. But they're not trading Eason for Okogie lol.

Yeah, absolutely. Maybe if it was a 3 way trade, where our pick and Okogie get sent somewhere, we get Eason and rockets get a big name player haha
Otherwise this some trade override 2K shit

Cam Whitmore seems to be the one that's available in Houston, I'd do the same trade for him too tbh. Eason is a better fit, but I'd take either for Okogie.

That would be about Houston keeping more of our future picks so they can be our lifeline and take Booker/KD off our hands when it crashes. They lose a little leverage after the 2025 draft because that’s a pick of ours they own. I would also gladly jump at that offer. Eason would be great.
