Sixers smell like they're about ready to pack it up and start tanking this year. I think I read that they get to keep their traded-away pick only if it is in the top-6 in the draft.

This will for sure get the players to play harder. Having said that, they brought it on themselves to an extent.

I like it! Apparently, Curry had something to do with it.

Meh, it sounds really stupid. Just do it the regular East vs West way. The players can play hard or not play hard. Just leave it how it is.

I won't watch it either way. It's just not entertaining. I appreciate the effort, but the fact that they keep tinkering with the format tells you all you need to know.

Salary Swap All-Star Game. Vets vs the top players on rookie deals. If the rooks win, they swap salaries with the vets for this year. Rooks will be out for blood while vets will have to play extra hard to keep that $50-$60mil.

In this instance, I could see many vets trying to get out of playing in the All-Star game.

This just sounds like you don’t care if it’s competitive or not. The regular way is terribly non-competitive. They need to do something.

The young guys will play hard and the vets won’t want to be shown up. It might not work, but I like that they are trying.

My questions…what if someone makes the 24 man roster but is also Rising Stars eligible? Who do they play for? Looking at Wemby here.

Next, is it still 12 from each conference? Or just 24 players?

It's more that I care about the history of the ASG. I like East vs West. I like looking back on past years to see which conference was loaded, whether that team won the game, etc. I like seeing who tries to be the alpha, who guns for ASG MVP, and so on. I actually like the All-Star Game just fine as it was. I certainly don't think any of the many changes they've tried have helped, so why not leave it be?
