This is stupidity. You're Milwaukee. No young desirable talent is going to want to live there if they have their choice. You have few avenues to improve the team. This is a definite upgrade in talent for you. Take it and enjoy it.

Beal is not as bad as he has been on the Suns. He is definitely as soft and unavailable, but he is capable of 20 ppg when he is engaged. This current stretch is particularly bad because he has checked the fuck out

I think Milwaukee gets a pick as well…so that helps them for their next move…they also only had 1 tradable 1st…they’ll now have two, plus Dame/Beal/Giannis/Lopez…they also get out of the 2nd apron and may have another move lined up.

Gambo implied yesterday that Suns are not planing use all their picks for the Jimmy trade. They want different things for each pick. Clearly one is definitely gonna be used to get off Nurk. Implied 1 for Jimmy, 1 for Nurk, 1 for something else to either improve or get more assets like getting multiple 2nds back. I guess we’ll see.

Maybe 2 1st do get used in the Beal/Jimmy trade but we still up with multiple 2nds back as well.

Spoiler: show/hide
I've been in a day long debate over this exact point with someone who's not even a Bucks fan .

Honestly, I get it. Beal's contract sucks, but my counter is they're getting nothing out of Middleton and Connaughton now so their options aren't about what they "need" but rather they "can" do. Ironically very similar to the Suns with the important exception that Mat Ishbia has no shame in paying for ass. Ooops. NSFW.

Anyway... my (perceived) winning argument is that for this season Beal>Middleton, Butler>Beal, anything>angry Butler. And that'll be how the dust settles.

It's their fault for thinking a 3D guy was some sort of franchise changer.

The problem I see for Milwaukee is that pairing of Beal and Lillard. I think that's Lillard/McCollum all over again. Beal is a still a really good player, but he would be going from one bad fit to another. Lillard and him make more sense the Booker-Beal pairing, but not by much. I think Milwaukee would be making the same mistake we did. A lot of us just looked at the package we were sending for Beal (which was essentially nothing), but the cost of having him was more than a lot of us bargained for.

I still think Beal would be great for Orlando.

I think they are banking on Giannis/Brook covering a lot of that up…Dame/CJ never had that

I think Beal was really good with Wall, he can play with a PG, Lillard is a better spacing player than Booker and isn't as redundant. I think they'd work just fine personally.

Agreed. And they even have bad/questionable salary that we could see with good eyes in Isaac/KCP and Anthony, plus additional contracts to match Beal. But if I am the Magic I am so scared of that contract and fragility.

I don't think Beal playing with a point guard is a problem. I think Beal playing next to a high volume scoring point guard isn't a strategy for contention. Beal was fine with Wall from a personal success perspective, but that combo wasn't going anywhere.

Dude was openly wanting to go to the Knicks and he was with Brooklyn for 5 minutes after he was the main return piece for KD. Of course they hate him. He McDyess'd there ass except for essentially forcing a trade rather than actually walking
