Here's another James Jones draft pick. He's bounced around but has found his role/footing in Cleveland.

Can we pull a Steve Nash and get Jerome to come back here and spend his prime as our starting PG?

Just have to make cap space, like we did for Nash. Easy peasy.

Do the Sixers have an even more depressing situation than ours? What is their draft pick situation? I assume one thing in their favor is that they haven't given away a decade's worth of picks. BUT, it's not like both Booker and KD are horribly injured, as is the case with 2/3 of Philly's Big 3 (Embiid and George). I think I remember reading that Philly has to give up their draft pick if it is in the top 6? Or something?

KD and Booker (and Beal) could be injured before the end of the season, with us playing them heavy minutes trying desperately to get into the play-in. Then it will be even more difficult to make good trades.

Dude. It's not happening. In a few games it will be obvious even to the most myopic. I'll put the over/under on games until we start playing Dunn and developmental guys at 6.

Luka Doncic plays basketball for a living. Just like Jokic, I don't believe they stick around til their mid 30s because they wanna go enjoy life. I don't blame them, if you can go out and dominate the league without having to kill themselves in the gym why wouldn't they?

The fact that the Mavs keep putting these stories out there about Doncic shows how bad the trade was for them from a PR standpoint. And even if you could justify trading a generational talent, annual MVP candidate and a guy who just took you to the Finals, you have to get back more in the trade. Knect, Reaves, more picks..something.

It's also funny that they're going with the "he won't last 5 years" line just like Cuban did when he let Nash walk in free agency.

Good thing they acquired a player who's guaranteed to last 5 years at a healthy and productive level: Anthony Davis.
