Game Day - Summer League Edition: Trailblazers (3-1) @ Suns (1-3), Sat 7/19/25

Time: 6:30 pm AZ (6:30 pm PT/9:30 pm ET)
Place: Pavilion, Las Vegas, NV
TV: NBA TV

The Summer Suns play their final (consolation) game today against the Blazers. It seems like traditionally, the 2nd year guys like Oso and Dunn don't play in these and they give more time to the end of bench guys but we'll see. I'm just hoping our rookies play and that they show a little something. Brea was out last game with a sprained left thumb so I don't know if he'll play either.

This is probably the last Suns action of the season and the off-season doldrums begin until training camp at the end of September.

Go Suns!!!

Looks like we're going to have to wait until 6:45 according to my NBA TV schedule.

There's always that loser on the summer league team that thinks the stage is set for him.

My least favorite was Mike James, but M Wood takes the cake as far as disparity between actual talent vs usage %

Interesting that the Kings will be playing for the SL championship. That's the team that barely beat us last time out.

Fleming starting for the first time. No Dunn or Oso though. Saucy's new favorite Wood starting.

No Brea, Maluach, Dunn or Oso? Surprised if we can pull this one out.

I just finished the first half and the Suns went on a 22-0 run until they fouled with 3 seconds left but they go into the half up 10, 49-39.

Nope, they're all on the bench in street clothes.

Looks like we cap summer league with a W. Huntley has a good stat lime. How’s he look?

Huntley finishes well around the rim but he needs to get a lot stronger. He’s all arms and legs and gets pushed around easily. Also has a hard time catching and holding the ball.

Fleming is very active on D and constantly moving on O but the team will go 7-8 straight possessions without him getting a touch. He needs to be better about demanding the ball. I saw him make at least 10 smart cuts to the basket without getting rewarded. Seems like they may have had him on a minutes restriction too.

Kinda hope they keep Boogie Ellis around in the GLeague as an emergency option. I like him the most of all the PGs they used.

Yeah, Boogie had a couple big games this summer. He can shoot the rock and distribute it. Plus, he's got good speed.
