How about the 4th seeded Phoenix Mercury knocking off the #1 Minnesota Lynx and going to the WNBA Finals?

I'm really hyped for the Mercury. Beating the Lynx in the playoffs feels so good. The Lynx have been so good for so long, and they play the right way, etc. Feels so good to best them especially with the balanced game the Mercury played.

I'll admit that I am a total fair-weather fan of theirs lately, but I'm excited that they made it this far and I'll be watching them in the Finals! Go Mercury!

Not Mercury related, but what is with the WNBA commissioner berating Caitlyn Clark? And letting the rest of the league be as physical with her as they want to be? The woman is delusional.

Being mean to Clark is the most publicity the W has ever had.

She's a lunatic, nobody hates the wnba more than she does. Shes like Dana White, but way less successful.

CBA negotiations are gonna get spicy.

Cool to see you guys did a thread

All things considered this been a fun last week or so for me because my uncle is a WNBA fan and was giving me updates so I tuned in for the last few games.

Although it's the Mercury, it still reminded me of being at the arena earlier this year. Should be a fun Finals and a challenge because A'ja is a big time player.

Everything was hard late
Didn't get much quality looks

Tough loss

Losing that first game really hurts now after being up much of the game. Game two they lost rather decisively. Game 3, Wednesday at the Mortgage Matchup Center* is now a must win.

*Sounds like a mortgage warehouse. If that was a thing. Just a horrible naming decision. I might really have to go with The Morgue. It's either that or MMC. Should have gone with Arena then it could have been MMA.

Anybody else watching Game 3? Mercury down 17 currently, early in the 4th. :-/

Uggggggggggggggggh. A'ja Wilson (who, in my now-expert-WNBA-fan opinion, is Very Good) hits a game-winner to put the Aces up 3-0. Brutal loss for the Mercury after coming all the way back to tie it.
