the size of the nba contract. how much of an offer would you be willing to make so that he cant refuse?

It's moot. He's not coming. You'd have to pay him more than he's worth.

Is he a guard? I think we're OK there.

He is probably a case like Bodiroga. He knows he won't be a dominant player in the NBA and is perfectly happy to stay in Europe and receive the treatment and money of a superstar.

Also, remember that not always european stars translate well to the NBA. Jasikevicious was easily a top3 Euroleague player but did nothing in the NBA.

if i were milwaukee, a 3/24 offer is the floor. he'll be an instant all star as a rookie under kidd.

nah, jasikevicious isnt as good a shooter.

teodosic's 3pt shots are almost all off the dribble. i've seen jasikevicious in FIBA, never was really impressed with him. with teodosic, he had 2 great FIBAs already, the last time in 2010, he knocked out spain with a walk in 3pter.

this is where sometimes watching a player is more valuable than just relying on stats. if the suns scouts just relied on goran's stats in europe, he's nothing special.

I only posted the stats so you don't have to rely on my personal recollection. I've watched a good deal of Saras, at Barcelona, Euroleague and international tournaments, and I am telling you that he is a sharpshooter.

Teodosic can make any shot but when it comes to evaluating this area, volume and accuracy are the two biggest factors, followed by context.

Kyle Korver is a monster three point shooter, but he does his damage off screens in catch and shoot situations, plus spot up attempts, whereas guys like Curry create their own, which usually means pull up with or without screen.

Since Curry makes such an outrageous %, he can be considered better than Korver thanks to his ability to manufacture his baskets, but if his %s were discernibly lower, the way he creates would have to give way against the brute force of hits.

i havent seen any of teodosic's euroleague or serbian league games, so i really dont know why his shooting stats are not as impressive as jasikevicious. maybe he's injured, i dont know. all i know is that when he played in FIBA worlds 4 yrs ago, i was already high on this guy. (he's the only player who i wanted to make a move to the nba back in 2010, but dunno why he wont do it. today in 2014, he and zoran are the only two players who should make the jump)

another reason why i compared teodosic to curry is -- aside from their ability to shoot threes off the dribble -- is their RANGE.

$3-4m isn't all that much, if he's a decent player. But it's enough to make you regret it if he ends up a bust.

i'd pay double that. the minimum offer i'd give him is 3/24 easy if i were milwaukee.

3/24? Wow, that's a lot of confidence. Just because of that, I hope he does end up in the NBA. Either you'll be vindicated and earn a lot of back pats, or you'll end up looking the fool and we'll all get to make fun of you. Either way, it's fun.

i'm okay with that. as long as he's healthy, he deserves it.

3yrs/$24M would be a bad move. He obviously doesn't have the desire to play against the best competition for whatever reason, and its unlikely that overpaying him would help improve that desire.
