Amare was my favorite player, so I'm super excited for him. He was the reason I got season tickets, because I didn't want to miss a chance to see him do something that I've never seen before. Heck, I got to even tell him that in person, while on crutches after my own micro-fracture surgery, haha.

I love me some Amare Stoudemire. ("Elevates, and Detonates!") But I think if you put a guy like him in the Hall of Fame, basically any all-star is gonna get in. Amare was a phenom for a handful of years, but his career was way too short, and his teams didn't have an impressive playoff resume. Why would you put him into the Hall of Fame?

The funniest thing about Amare being in the HoF is that it will probably make Shawn Marion mad.

6 time all-star, 5 time All-NBA(all 2nd team or higher), ROY…14 seasons…though one was 3 games and the last few seasons weren’t great(I completely forgot he played for Miami). His peak was definitely HOF worthy, but ya you have to decide if 7ish seasons was enough.

I really like Izzo as a college coach but think he'd have been a disaster as an NBA coach. Things like this still don't give me confidence in ownership/FO but sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

Ha! Of course Mat tried to get Izzo. I for one and happy how it turned out in spite of the coaching hiccups as of late.
