2026 Offseason
Re: 2026 Offseason
Kyrie is 10 years older than Green. I really don't get you guys. 34! Green is the only guy on the team currently who can get to the hoop Maxey style.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

If you're over 30 years old, I'm not interested unless we're trading someone over 30 to get you.virtual9mm wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2026 11:29 amWhat's up with all of these garbage trades that are surfacing out of the sewers? Anthony Davis? Jrue Holiday? Shame on BSotS for even discussing these rumors.

I am. And regardless of who the Suns might be trading, it would be a bad idea to trade for me.specialsauce wrote: ↑Thu May 07, 2026 12:05 pmIf you're over 30 years old, I'm not interested unless we're trading someone over 30 to get you.virtual9mm wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2026 11:29 amWhat's up with all of these garbage trades that are surfacing out of the sewers? You gotta work on your personality. I would dap it up with the best of them... from the sidelines. I'd learn all the handshakes and everything!BKinSJC wrote: ↑Thu May 07, 2026 12:31 pmI am. Here's an article by Gerald Bourquet about the Suns' options for re-signing Collin Gillespie.

Re: 2026 Offseason
Now, this is the kind of trade that could make sense. I don't like how Murray is older but he's not looking for a giant contract. And if we're keeping Book, they would be on identical timelines.

Re: 2026 Offseason
Why are all the media outlets assuming that the Nuggets will blow it up this offseason? I haven't seen anything to make me think that Denver wants to break up the team.
"Hey, Jane - get me off this crazy thing called love." - Charlie, but also Suns fans wishing we didn't have to watch more 4th quarter small ball but knowing we will tune in for the next game.
Re: 2026 Offseason
They definitely need upgrades but I don't know that they're going to blow it up. Also not sure Adelman is the guy to coach that roster.
Xin threw out a Jalen for MPJ trade yesterday which had me thinking. MPJ is pretty polarizing but in terms of 6-10 offensive players, we could definitely do worse. Whether or not the Nets would take Green is another story.

Re: 2026 Offseason
There have been some tweets and articles saying that sources inside the Nuggets org are basically putting out feelers on trades, that they have said that anybody but Jokic is available for the right price.
Re: 2026 Offseason
I think this would be a lateral move at best. MPJ has some major headcase issues IMO and is not much better/worse than Green. And I didn't like the clip of him the other day where he basically admitted that he stopped trying this season once he didn't make the All-Star team. At least Green likes playing here and is a good locker room guy and doesn't cause any problems. I think I'd rather stand pat than make this move.ShelC wrote: ↑Fri May 08, 2026 5:05 amThey definitely need upgrades but I don't know that they're going to blow it up. Re: 2026 Offseason
0% interest in a guy who only cares about his own numbers. MPJ is a ho.
I feel like trying to sell low on Green is a mistake that we probably shouldn't entertain.

Re: 2026 Offseason
I don't think we're selling low on Green. We may be selling at the right time, similar to DA.
MPJ does have some issues but I think the situation in BK at least played some part in his late season disinterest. I like the player in theory and even if it's a lateral move, him being a 6-10 PF/SF changes the balance of the roster in a positive way IMO.

Re: 2026 Offseason
He's coming off arguably his worst season as a pro with all the injuries and inconsistency, trading him now is definitely selling low. He's younger and cheaper than MPJ, has less injury history, seems to actually like being in Phoenix. Trading for a guy who makes the team taller at the cost of getting older and more expensive doesn't interest me at all.ShelC wrote: ↑Fri May 08, 2026 7:51 amI don't think we're selling low on Green. Green for a guy that plays more like a PF would be something I could get behind, but I don't believe that is something that is out there. But then that also creates a hole where we no longer have a guy who can get to the rim.. AGAIN.
I really believe that the best course for this current team is to ride it out until a Booker trade comes about and then retool with whatever assets you acquire.
Re: 2026 Offseason
Any interest in Green for Zion. That works straight up too.
Re: 2026 Offseason
Injury history aside, Zion's too ball dominant IMO. He's a 6-8 270lb PG you need to build offense around. He's also not a very dominant rebounder and can't really shoot it.

Re: 2026 Offseason
Absolutely not.
First off, gotta stay away from these dudes with injury issues, secondly, he doesn't seem to like basketball, we've already been down that road.
