Divvying Up the Minutes

Now that Bledsoe is officially back in the fold, and assuming Zoran is coming on board too, we have the issue of a lot of players expecting time and not a lot of time to be had.
There are 240 total minutes to be had, how would you divide them among these players?
G: Goran, Bledsoe, Thomas, Green (G/F), Archie, Zoran, Ennis
F: Tucker, Markieff, Marcus, Warren, Tolliver (F/C)
C: Plumlee, Len, Shavlik (C/F)
This is even tougher when you naturally assume that Shavlik will be playing 48 minutes/game.

I can see Green getting traded this year.

Considering what he might ask for next year when he becomes a free agent it is a distinct possibility.

If you want to win you have to play the Shavlik.

Consult with Bledsoe first and give him however many minutes he wants.

Guards - Bledsoe, Dragic, Thomas
Wings - Tucker, Green
Bigs - Morris, Plumlee, Morris
Extras - Len, Tolliver, Warren
End of Bench - Randolph, Zoran(if he signs)
D League - Goodwin, Ennis
Bledsoe, Dragic, Thomas will take all the guard minutes. Tucker and green will probably split the minutes at the 3. Morri and plumlee probably average 20-25 each, which leaves about 25-30 minutes for the rest. We could go small and play tuck at the 4 and get warren some minutes or put Len or Tolliver in. Ennis for sure is going d league, probably Goodwin too.
I'd give Marcus's minutes to tolliver if Marcus is struggling or tolliver is hitting. If Goodwin has improved his shot he could maybe steal a few minutes at the 3 in a small ball lineup with tuck at the 4. I think those minutes would go to warren first though.
All in all, we probably got too many bodies and need to cash in. Not sure Goodwin or green have a future here with Thomas on board now and warren waiting in the wings.

No. You tell him he's only getting a certain amount, wait a week till the season starts, and then have him bend you over the barrel with how many minutes he actually wants.

Disappointing to think Warren won't see meaningful minutes.

Ahh. The season can't truly start until the pessimism on phxsuns reaches a certain level. I think between Bledsoe's contract, Len's injuries and any complaints about our new rookies there should be plenty of ammunition to drown out any positive comments from now until Christmas. Regardless of our record.
Can't wait for the season to start.

Isn't PJ suspended the first few games for that DUI? Anyways, I think your boy Green is gone this year.

Very inexplicable indeed. Clearly more obligatory than justified. You would think with the Suns' prolific, championship pedigree and impeccable draft record, pessimism would be scarce around these parts.

I think the minutes made available by his suspension will just go to Marcus Morris and Gerald Green. In fact, Marcus will probably start in his place to activate Twin Power.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is traded either. It is a shame he is such a spark plug.
I just can't help but wonder what a monster he would be if he had better control of his dribble.

We need to get on the renewal of those two contracts ASAP.

Many of the young guards will spend a LOT of time in Bakersfield. No other way to put it.
IMHO, I can also see the Suns dealing Tucker if Warren is making progress in the d-league. For a good 3-and-D player, his contract is very reasonable. If Colangelo was still in charge, I'd say he's gone for sure after the DUI but I would still guess that he's on the hot seat.

Yeah, I could see Tucker traded as well.
