Spurs sure know how to get started early on resting their veterans, don't they? They laugh at the NBA's schedule and expectations. Makes this one a pretty meaningless game, even for preseason.

Here's the list of Spurs not making the trip:
Tim Duncan
Manu Ginobili

Tiago Splitter
Gregg Popovich

We can still work on our game. Coach isn't happy with the conditioning. He wants the team to get up and down the floor faster.

NBA contract: $2 million.
Plane ticket from Slovenia to Phoenix: $1800.
Getting to play in the NBA just because your brother is in a contract year: Priceless.

I like Hornacek's experimenting, but I think that lineup is just a waste of time. Clearly, Bledsoe, Dragic, and Plumlee are fixtures and it's just the forward spots that are yet to be determined. I really only see value in the following starting forward combos:
Marcus-Markieff
Tucker-Tolliver
Tucker-Markieff
Warren-Tolliver

This is really obnoxious. People paid good money for their tickets.

Why no Warren-Kieff experiment?

I think that's loading the starting lineup up with too many scorers. That's not needed with Dragic and Bledsoe on the court.

Can't disagree with that logic. I often wonder the same thing with both Goran and Bledsoe...

Strange, I think that's the reasoning behind not starting Warren-Tolliver than not starting Warren-Kieff. Sign me up for a proponent of Warren-Tolliver anyway. I'm extremely curious what that would look like starting and then allowing the Blunder Twins to come off the bench.

I bet Warren is starting full time by mid year. He reminds me a little bit of Amare in that he can contribute right away. This team is better than it was in Amare's rookie year though.
