Suns Power Forward
Given the theme for FA at this point is what is to be done given the likelihood that Morris is shipped out or might still be cooling his heels somewhere...and the LA snub...the rumor mill has us looking at Kevin Seraphin...made me take a look which made me curious...might not be a bad idea?

VT! How's it going?
Re: Suns Power Forward
Welcome back, VT. Stick around a while!
I don't understand why Seraphim would be on our radar. He's not a PF. He should go to LAC.
We're probably best sticking with Keef unless he's so pissed that he won't put forth the effort.

Re: Suns Power Forward
Hes a 4/5. Serviceable but nothing fancy.
Re: Suns Power Forward
Talty! Good to see ya, buddy!
I don't really know what the Suns should do about PF. If Markieff were a robot and would just play his best and not care about the loss of his brother, I'd say to keep him here. But he will probably pout and won't play as well as last year. Maybe it's worth keeping him to see how he handles it. I don't know. I think he probably won't get into trouble nearly as much now that Marcus is away.

Re: Suns Power Forward
The couple opinion articles I read pointed out he could play PF...wanted more playing time. He's got good size...could probably give us 18/8-10 kind of #'s plus 1-2 blks a game with some consistent minutes? Worth at least considering at least...seemed more interesting than Lee to take a flyer on for something short term with some time commitments and pay for performance commitments to go along with them maybe?

Nice to see the distinctive avatar back, Vlad.
Here's a name for PF ... Terrence Jones. Houston has a logjam at 4. Jones is big, athletic and can hit from behind the arc if left open. He could also play a stretch at center, if need be. And he's another Kentucky guy.

Well, so much for hopes and dreams ...
Re: Suns Power Forward
Tristan Thompson hasn't officially re-signed yet, has he? Would he be a good option? He's shown he can be a double-double guy as a starter.
Perhaps with a Kieff sign and trade?

James likes him and they both have the same agent.

Yea, LeBron's holding Cleveland's feet to the fire. I think it's a douche move. You know Thomas is going to get the max from the Cavs. Just give him what he wants, get LeBron the max and pay your $100mil luxury tax.
Re: Suns Power Forward
I like his game a lot. But we have talked about how the whole "stomp on a homeless guy" thing just wouldn't play with fans after the Morris & Tucker debacles.LazarusLong wrote:Nice to see the distinctive avatar back, Vlad.

Re: Suns Power Forward
A package with Kieff, Tucker and Goodwin, would bring us back Faried and Gallinari? A non-lottery first would be as much as I would add. The Manimal's stock is at a low point, and Gallo is due to lose games every year.
But those two with TJ could share time at the 3 and 4 spots and we are cover in athleticism, rebounding and shooting. Wth Chandler and Len taking all the Center minutes, maybe Len sliding to the 4 when the matchup calls for it, and we just would need a burly forward-center willing to ride the pine to shore the position .

Re: Suns Power Forward
Worse rebounder than Keif and a more marginal / specialist . only down 2 dumping Keif is he has potential to get better where Anderson def is at his peak, has a history of injuries. Also I like when people are like 'he fits Hornacek's system' , like -- what system?
Also the mythology of the twins not being able to survive without each other is silly. Markeif was here w/o him and you can blame the front office for the circle jerk contract they gave them on a silver platter that likely spun their entitlement .

Re: Suns Power Forward
Interesting - if we add Anderson, that's two stretch 4's, and two true bigs, on the roster. A complete dedication to the scheme.
In terms of value, though, Markieff's contract >>>>>> Anderson's contract. Tucker is more comparable, in terms of value.
Teams that *should* be interested in Keef: Brooklyn, Indiana, New Orleans, New York, Toronto, Washington. Like the article implies, a 3-way makes sense.

Re: Suns Power Forward
He fits better as a floor spacer for the 2 guards, he's at least as good a rebounder as Keef IMO. Infact, they're a wash per36 in the rebound dept. I'm not a huge fan of either guy, but I do think Anderson is a better fit. He's also off the books after this season, I like that added 8m in flexibility.
Love, Hurts.

I support the Markieff -> Ryan Anderson trade attempts. That'd be a big get for us.
