Some good from josh tonight and some bad. I could really live without his screaming for fouls on every drive to the rim.

Why are we fouling, down 14, with 30 seconds left?

I really don't think a team can win consistently with Devin Booker as their #1 option on offense shooting the ball 20+ times a night.

Welp, this game was dedicated to Zion. Over at the tip. Pathetic effort and got worked by a bunch of GLeaguers.
Everyone was trash.

Ayton has a bunch of empty stats. Most coming after the defender had given up or left him wide open. Then Go hug the guy who worked you after the game.

Not sure how Spaulding didn’t get mins over Bender especially since every g league player was having a career night. Bender is so pathetic.

Oh well. Pad our lottery odds I guess.

Also, whoever the shooting coach for this team is, better not be there next year. Terrible at threes to begin the year and now terrible at threes and free throws.

I guess because Boylen called a TO to set up a play with a 14 point lead

I guess the Suns players really want Zion too. They laid a real egg in that 1st quarter and then they started playing.

We lost this game when Igor bizarrely subbed out Ayton for Josh Jackson less than 4 minutes into the 3rd quarter, leaving a Bender-Bridges-Jackson front court against a big Bulls front line that had been abusing us all game. We had been making progress at chipping away at the lead to that point.

If he wanted to give Ayton a quick breather, he should have a) waited a few more minutes and b) put in Spalding who he mysteriously benched in the second half.

A competition for Zion, involving tanks. It’s a miracle nobody’s been killed yet.

Strange how you don't mention his 7 boards, 2 assists and a steal. 2-4 from 3. Hmm.

History speaks for itself. 7th worst individual season of all time.
Josh Jackson, as many would have predicted, tried to be that third scorer. While he did so successfully on the box score with 18 points, his reckless and unattentive play on both ends of the court drastically hurt the Suns as it has all season.

Obviously you can't watch each game with an open mind. (And your avatar isn't helping you any. lol.) You've made up your mind. We're done here.

Across so many of the best statistics that measure the sum of offensive and defensive impact, Josh Jackson is God-awful.

According to ESPN's Real Plus Minus (RPM), his RPM Win share is 481st out of 503 players. (i.e. he's hurt us on the court more than just about any player in the league)

http://www.espn.com/nba/statistics/rpm/ ... /sort/WINS

According to basketball reference, his Winshares of -1.6 is the worst in the league by a wide margin.

https://www.basketball-reference.com/le ... anced.html

According to NBAmath.com, Jackson's Total Points Added (TPA) is 3rd worst in the league (673rd out of 675 measured)

https://nbamath.com/2018-19-nba-tpa/

The short version is he's brutal on offense, and despite some effort on defense, he's still a net negative on defense as well due to low bball IQ. PLEASE stop pretending he's an average, or even slightly below average player. At this point, he's freaking terrible. On top of that, he was about as bad last year in each of these stats (508th out of 521 in RPM, 3rd from last in winshares, 2nd to last in TPA). In other words, the stats don't show an improvement.

I'm sorry, but he's got to go over the summer. Keep Bridges and Oubre, send out Jackson and Warren for a PG or a SF like Tyus Jones or Daniel Theis in a S&T.

Real ugly game
Agree. When Robin Lopez racks up 24 points with a hook reminiscent of Bob Kurland or Swede Halbrook, that's an ugly statement.

First--History would agree with you.

For games where Devin took >=20 FGAs

Code: Select all

Career: 23-68 (.253)
Last 2 years: 16-37 (.302)
This year: 7-22 (.241)

Second--I would want to see what he looks like when playing with a competent PG and a 2nd option that isn't light-years behind him.

Wow. Bob Kurland and Swede Halbrook references?

Can we include Leroy (Lefty/Cowboy) Edwards and Bill Spivey just for fun?

Yeah, Jackson, Collin Sexton and Kevin Knox are all pretty terrible. And anybody who's been saying "why are they they still running Jamal Crawford out there?" is justified.

I was hoping you pick up on the big, goofy, white-guy post move reference.
Although, to his credit, Halbrook played well against Wilt back in the day ...

I thought Ayton played really well tonight. One of his best of the season and he was the only player that was impactful tonight. They weren't empty stats. Yeah, he had a hard time with the Lopez hook, but Lopez also had that going consistently and was money.
