Someone put up a 15 minute clip of NBATV talking about the Suns. Saw it over on reddit figured people might be interested.

How do they figure that PG depth chart? Pulling names out of a hat?

I still think Ariza could be a nice trade piece come the deadline. And I don't think he has a lot of fans on this board but i still really like Schroder. If there comes a point in the season where the Thunder are looking for a veteran shooter heading into the playoffs...Schroder for Ariza works. Both make 15mil, we get a young but established PG and the Thunder get a defensive 3pt shooting SF who can switch off with George on the wing. Schroder's locked in for 2 more seasons after this one at 15mil flat. Really not a bad deal at all.
Dude, no. Barf on Schroeder

Probably.. I don't think any of us really have a clue. I'd lean towards one of the "vets" starting on opening night (Canaan or Harrison) but would it be that big of a surprise for Melton or Okobo to win the job?

I'm not sure why either team would do that trade. On our side, I like Okobo a lot, and I want to see what he can do. I sort of like Melton, though I'd be willing to part with him. From the Clips side, they would be trading Bev and Milos to break apart a logjam at PG. So why take back two more young PGs for them?

I’m not saying they’re wrong. I have no idea what our PG depth chart is going to look like. If I had to make that graphic, I’d probably pull names out of a hat too. That would give me a 1-in-24 chance of getting it right.

I think it's pretty safe to assume Shaq as your starter. He's the only guy one of our PGs who has a shot at winning a matchup battle with another starting PG on occasion. If Shaq's not your starter, it's because you've traded for an upgrade or you're going with Booker and Jackson in the backcourt. Starting Booker with Jackson would be the best way to open up more time for Reed and Bridges, so I'm not counting that out, maybe later in the season.

Two of the best acquisitions the Suns front office made this offseason for two waiver wire veterans. That is a terrible trade.
Trendon Watford. Please and thank you.

Agrees. I’d be pretty disappointed if Canaan made the team over Shaq.

I think we'd have to throw in Booker.

Speaking of Milos, he's out with another soft tissue injury (hamstring). I wouldn't be surprised to see him cut before the season starts.

He is not our answer. I would love his passing but I do not think he can remain healthy and run with these young players.

Or form a passable defensive backcourt with Booker.
