As one of the few inhabitants left on Bender Island I'm looking at putting my beach front property up for sale. What everyone said about him was right. Too timid to find success. It's Zarko redux. Such a shame because it was a tantalizing mix of skills but he didn't put any of it together.
What did you think of his performance last night? He did play better than his other recent outings.
Not really. Yes, he ended up with 10/5/1, but that all came in the 2nd half when we were down +30. No pressure when you are that far behind.

We took the hole four years, and a summer to give up on Alex FREAKING Len. I’ll gladly take all your titles in the island and wait out the season to see if Koskokov can save this kid’s soul. And I’m noticing lately that this is not so much of an island, moreso like a village.

Or perhaps some people are posing like supporters leaving the ship?
People can’t call themselves as living in Bender’s island if only writes about him to talk about selling their stock, can they?
I've been the board's biggest supporter of Bender. I've been preaching a wait & see approach for 2 years. It's just he hasn't gotten better at anything in 2 full seasons. That's worrisome.
Are we still allowed to send him to the G league this season? I have been on the island too, and I am still there, but that doesn't mean I would pick up his option.

And I'd add, first in fg% of players who've attempted more than 12 shots. Will probably be years before we know if Ayton is the best player in this draft, but it's nice that he looks like the best player right now.

Drew Hanlen legend continues to grow lol
Seriously tho, the difference in his shot in these few months since college season is impressive. I saw the summer videos but anyone can post good shooting clips but now he looks smooth in games also so credit to him

The idea than Bender wasn't any better in year 2 is just preposterous, and the idea that we know whether he is any better in a season that hasn't even started yet is preposterous.

This is probably how Hawks fans felt after Boris' second season. It's frustrating, but Bender can still be a very good player.

Boris was taken ahead of a number of players who went on to be good NBA players, including three All-Stars. I wonder if we’ll be able to say the same about Bender.

Bridges was in a lot of pain when he hit his elbow. Not on the ground squirming but immediately went to the bench after the play and had a trainer working on his for a while.

Preseason has only confirmed the pg need. I would love to see the offers McD has had. Every front office knows the Suns’ dire need for a pg. I’m not sure he can make a trade unless the suns give up first rounders.

I'm ok with giving up the Milwaukee pick, but not if it is for a mediocre PG with multiple years left on their contract.

I'm more on board with a TJ for Teague move with every passing game.

People (and McDonough) may have to be OK with taking a loss on this PG trade. If it makes out roster composition better, it's the right move, even if we get back a worse player than we gave up.

Dragic would really be the perfect PG for us.

Dragic would be ok, but he's far from perfect. His contract alone makes him a bad target. I don't think there is a perfect target, but Jrue Holiday is close. Just unavailable.

Dragic has this year and next year on his deal at 18mil and 19 mil respectively - so 2 years 37mil.

Jrue Holiday has this year plus 3 more at 25/26/25/26 - so 4 years 100mil.

Now granted, Dragic is 32 but I'd rather commit that short term money to him and let him hopefully have a Nash-like effect in putting it all together for a young team over the next two years. When Nash came on we had Joe Johnson, Shawn Marion and Amar'e. Now we have Booker, Jackson and Ayton. Not that dissimilar.

This team is very similar to that team.

If we just a Nash like guard to bring it all together.
