Would be great if the Isaac extension were a preview of Ayton's.

Re: Around the League: Offseason
If he came back healthy I’d love to trade Ayton for Isaac.
Re: Around the League: Offseason
Clearly I don’t have a lot of faith in Ayton becoming a star. Isaac is a better defender and offensive player. Sure if Ayton hits his ceiling he’s better than Isaac. I just don’t think he will. The injury concerns for Isaac would keep me from doing it though.

Isaac is a better shot blocker, other than that, I just dont see what you do.Split T wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 5:59 pmClearly I don’t have a lot of faith in Ayton becoming a star. Isaac is not better than Ayton, in the now, or potentially.Oatmeal wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 6:08 pmIsaac is a better shot blocker, other than that, I just dont see what you do.Split T wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 5:59 pmClearly I don’t have a lot of faith in Ayton becoming a star. Re: Around the League: Offseason
I disagree there. Isaac was a DPOY candidate early last year before he got hurt. His per-36 numbers were 15/9/2 with 3 blocks and 2 steals. He can defend anyone. He shoots 34% from 3 and can put the ball on the floor. The only think Ayton does better is rebound.specialsauce wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 7:19 pmIsaac is not better than Ayton, in the now, or potentially.Oatmeal wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 6:08 pmIsaac is a better shot blocker, other than that, I just dont see what you do.Split T wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 5:59 pmClearly I don’t have a lot of faith in Ayton becoming a star. Re: Around the League: Offseason
I guarantee Ayton is better than Jonathan Issac in every statistical category for 2020-2021 season seeing how Issac IS GOING MISS THE ENTIRE SEASON DUE TO INJURY!!! Issac is extremely injury prone, and no way shape and form would I trade Ayton for someone who has high potential to be injured for most of that 4yr deal.
Re: Around the League: Offseason
Good point. Tough to produce when you rarely see the court.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

I don’t know why so many on here are ready to trade Ayton for damn role players. I don’t oppose trading him but we should aim a little higher. Jeez.

Well as I said, I would trade Ayton for him IF HE WAS HEALTHYWally_West wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 7:51 pmI guarantee Ayton is better than Jonathan Issac in every statistical category for 2020-2021 season seeing how Issac IS GOING MISS THE ENTIRE SEASON DUE TO INJURY!!! You’re not getting a star player for Ayton, sorry it’s just not happening.specialsauce wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 8:07 pmThisWally_West wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 7:58 pmI don’t know why so many on here are ready to trade Ayton for damn role players. Re: Around the League: Offseason
Agree to disagree. I know I’m in the minority but I think he’s going have a good to great season this year and will average somewhere around 20 & 12, making him prime trade bait next season if star becomes available.Split T wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 8:10 pmYou’re not getting a star player for Ayton, sorry it’s just not happening.specialsauce wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 8:07 pmThisWally_West wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 7:58 pmI don’t know why so many on here are ready to trade Ayton for damn role players. We’ll see, I hope I’m wrong
Re: Around the League: Offseason
All of these extensions are nuts. I don't think there is a single one that teams will feel good about a year from now.

The Derrick White extension is bananas.
