Right? And maybe if there hadn’t been a guy named Doncic or Young that we could have had in his stead.

Hopefully these 3rd quarter takeovers will be more commonplace this year.Wally_West wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 8:05 pmThis feels like a game where its close until the last 5 mins where we just fall apart. Happened to often last year.

Yeah, it wasn’t FSAZ. I didn’t see it on DTV.Indy wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 8:25 pmAre you on Cox? I just switched yesterday to DirecTV because Cox couldn't fix this for me. I don't see any on DTV either.Cap wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 8:23 pmWhat’s FSAZ’s excuse for the video freezes? They’ve been doing this for like 20 years, they should have it down by now.LazarusLong wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 8:18 pmRemember there's been an abbreviated training camp and preseason.
And there's a boatload of new Suns.
Expect it to be uneven for the first 10 or so games.

Plus, everybody’s comments came just a tad early just before we broke the game open in the 3rd quarter.Wally_West wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 8:31 pmIm not. It’s super early. I always expected a slow and uneven start. There is going to be some tough nights though.

I've probably been one of Ayton's harshest critics around here, but I really just want him to be properly paid. Overpaying him to the salary level that he's eligible for would be a crippling mistake.
They've already misused a huge asset in the #1 pick by selecting him. Don't make the same mistake twice and get cornered into paying him $30M or more a year.

It really does feel like Ayton has regressed so far this season.phatmike wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 9:10 pmThis game was brutal to watch until that “bubble suns” energy suddenly came out of nowhere. About damn time. That said, a kitten dies every time Ayton fails to dunk the ball when given the opportunity or passes it out after getting an offensive board with fantastic post position. Ugh

It bugged me last night too but could someone explain how to wear a face mask to Walton?

It’s several things at once. He looks out of shape. For a guy that has such a good touch he has bad hands. And lastly whatever they changed about the offense and defense has broken his operating system. He is really slow to react and you can almost see the gears turning in his head.Superbone wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 11:28 pmIt really does feel like Ayton has regressed so far this season.phatmike wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 9:10 pmThis game was brutal to watch until that “bubble suns” energy suddenly came out of nowhere. Almost every coach has been doing it. I even saw Thibodeau wearing it below his nose for basically a whole quarter. It's pretty clear that it's just an optics thing by the NBA at this point.
Vogel is the only coach I've seen not constantly pull a mask below his face, but he also wears a real mask, not just a cloth face covering.

What about our own coach? He consistently wears it correctly from what I’ve seen.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 11:36 pmAlmost every coach has been doing it. Ayton is soft. That’s it. I watched a few plays where he was either open or had a really good lane to cut for a pass. He deferred on both. He doesn't want the ball.
This regression started in the bubble and unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like he dedicated himself to improving his game and body this offseason the way that a pro of his stature should.
I think his D has been fine for the most part this season, but it’s really frustrating to watch him on O.

Decent win last night, great 2nd half when the ball finally started moving and we got some offensive flow back. The Cams played a big part in breaking the game open. Payne did a good job on Fox defensively, nice line with 7-6-5 and Johnson was hitting nearly everything he looked at, also had at least one nice cut and got fed by CP3 for a layup. He and Mikal were probably our best players last night. Mikal's looked great on both ends, the 3pt shot is falling and his slashing has carried over from the bubble. I like the aggressive moves to the basket.
Yea, DA is soft. He controlled the boards well, was solid on defense but seems completely out of sorts on offense. He'll have better games, but it just seems like he is what he is.
Book had a tough night offensively but I thought his defense really stuck out. He was fighting over every screen, really sticking to his guy and not giving up on plays. I don't normally notice him on D but last night I did.
Glad we were able to close things out strong and Paul sat most of the 4th. Book and Mikal hit their 35 minutes, everyone else was under 30. I wonder if Cam ends up taking over for Jae as a starter or we leave a good thing alone.
As frustrating as it is to watch Frank get outrebounded and blow layups, the offense does flow when he's out there. He knows how to pass and screen effectively, keep the ball moving. If he could hit shots, he'd make things a lot less painful. Seems he's taken Jones' spot but hopefully Dario is back this week, maybe next.
Gallo was a flamethrower again, Carter's in a funk, still no Moore.
