I think they'd benefit a great deal by picking up a bruiser PF/C who could play 15-20 minutes a night. Randolph isn't a very appealing option as the #3 center and they could use some size to compliment Markieff at PF.

It was common over there to say that Dragic is the one deserving of the big payday and that Eric should be let go if he wants more than $12 mil per. Currently, $14 per looks like money well spent (even with the shooting woes), while Goran's market value is declining ever-so-very-slightly. We'll see. Despite his performance last year, I've never been fully sold on the Dragon..... btw, does anyone else think he looks a little Boris-y this year? A little Parsons-esque?
It's a little early to be giving up on Goran already. I hear Aaron Brooks might be available. Sheesh.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

I don't think the org expected Markeiff to come off the bench. They resigned him to replace Frye. But I agree they would love a true powerful forward/center to play in that spot too. We don't have any of those on the roster.

To paraphrase Cotton Fitzsimmons, this team needs a Charles Barkley. It really does strike me as quite similar to the 89-90-91 team. Entertaining as all get out but no toughness up front. I think if we have to sacrifice a bit of death and assets to get a 4 that can be a solid double double threat we have to think seriously about it. Was talking with my wife earlier today and realized it's been a good 5 years since I watched NBA ball more than sporadically, so I honestly have no idea who would even fit that description these days.

I disagree about the toughness up front in those years. We didn't have a go-to scorer in the post and didn't have a person who would get the benefit of the doubt on calls, but we had some tough guys there. Very different than today.

If healthy, al horford is the best option. It's conceivable that he would become available and is very solid. He's not elite at anything, although I'd argue his mid range jumper is close, but he's good at everything. He'll rebound, play D, make good passes, score down low, hit open shots and run the floor. He's an 18-10 guy when healthy.

How much of an upgrade over what we have is Horford to fully divest ourselves of assets? I think he's good. An improvement. Is that enough to go all in on? Idk.

And never mind the fact that Bledsoe is 6-26 in his last two games.

It's a good question, he's a bigger, better version of markieff, but why give up a bunch of assets when you've got a guy whose brings you 70% of that player already. They'd want the laker pick for sure and probably a couple more assets, including Len. Do you do Laker pick, minny pick, Tyler Ennis and Alex Len? Last week I would have said yes, but it'd be tough to give up on Len now that he's showing promise. Switch Len for plumlee and I'd do it, but I doubt Atlanta would.

i like horford, but he's a perennial injury risk. what's his contract situation? i do think he will solidify our lineup significant, but i too wouldn't give up on len.

Funny, I said last week on real GM that the offer would be pretty much that but I wouldn't give up Len. That was before he played well so certainly not now.

To some extent true. I mean we still had Chambers but by that point he was slowing down. Mark West would have been an even more solid player if he hadn't been the voodoo doll for every ref in the NBA.

True about 41. I was thinking of guys like Mark, Lang, Armen and Kennie.

I wouldn't give up Len. In fact, I'd hate to give up Len and Plumlee. Plumlee can be a force off the bench as an energy 4/5 in the Pollard mold IMO. And Len would be a great compliment to Horford. I'd give up the Morris Bros and picks. They probably wouldn't want Ennis since they Teague and Schroeder but maybe we could sell them on Ennis as a true PG and moving Teague to the SG spot the way we've done it?

Gilliam was gone in 89 for Rambis. Which Kennie? Walker?

He's easy to forget - Suns 3rd (?) round pick in 1986, missed entire 1987-1988 season, traded to Charlotte for Rambo in 1989.
