Re: Around the League: Off-season
It's an interesting question. Of course you don't want to estrange or lose a player as talented as him for nothing. But everywhere he goes, he seems to alienate everybody with his bizarre behavior and antics. The flat earth stuff, just randomly ditching games and practices without notifying anybody, and now spouting conspiracy theories and refusing to vaccinate himself even if it means missing home games. With Harden already there, maybe you consider flipping Kyrie for a slightly less talented but better-fit player?
Re: Around the League: Off-season
Brooklyn’s in the bizarre situation that they’re actually better off without HCA in the playoffs if Kyrie can’t play at home.
Re: Around the League: Off-season
Did anybody notice the Rui Hachimura news?

Wizards' Rui Hachimura Reportedly Out Indefinitely for Personal Reasons
Personal reasons is very non specific.

Re: Around the League: Off-season
Yeah. I was really in favor of him over Josh Jackson. So glad we don't have either on our team.Superbone wrote: ↑Sun Sep 26, 2021 11:16 amMan, so glad we didn't pick Jonathan Isaac.Mori Chu wrote: ↑Sun Sep 26, 2021 12:28 amI found this article interesting about the battles over vaccines in the coming NBA season:

Yeah, a guy that stands during the national anthem must be a terrible human being.Indy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 6:41 amYeah. I was really in favor of him over Josh Jackson. Re: Around the League: Off-season
I think it’s his anti-vax feelings that they are referencing
Re: Around the League: Off-season
From a basketball perspective, Isaac would be so freaking perfect for us at the 4. A Bridges-Isaac-Ayton defensive frontcourt would be amazing.
Re: Around the League: Off-season
And to be fair to Isaac, he disputes what the article says. He’s still deciding to not take the vaccine, but it’s not due to conspiracy theories at least. I still disagree with his decision though.
Re: Around the League: Off-season
If he has higher antibody levels than those vaccinated in February who have waning immunity, then I don't see why he should be subject to stricter restrictions than them.

I’m paying attention and my statement stands.
Re: Around the League: Off-season
Most important stat is availability. The guy was drafted 2 years before Cam Johnson but has only played 20 more games. Hope he can get healthy and have a good career.
Re: Around the League: Off-season
In general I agree. But those comparisons are to the people that got it in February, which are almost exclusively elderly and immuno-compromised.
