In the long term, getting Sarver away from the Suns is a good thing.
But I fear were in a "be careful what you wish for" situation in the short term. This kind of stuff could really mess with the atmosphere throughout the whole organization regardless of the cliché quotes we'll get from the players and coaching staff.

This. As much as I want Sarver gone, it's a bad time when we are actually having organizational success, a competent GM, state of the art training facilities and returning from an NBA Finals run.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 2:10 pmIn the long term, getting Sarver away from the Suns is a good thing.

What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

I also can't help but think of the next steps in this once the NBA is officially involved.
For example, who's running the team if the NBA forces Sarver to step away? What's to stop Sarver from going scorched earth if he knows he's done?

Did Xmas come early this year?!!
Re: Suns News: Week 1 10/17-10/23
After my initial hopes were sky high, I came back and was thinking that I hope that if it happens that they vet the next potential owner to make sure he isn't a douchebag, treats people well, is a basketball fan, and has deep pockets to pay for and keep a winner to win a title(s).Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 2:19 pmI also can't help but think of the next steps in this once the NBA is officially involved.

So just the average unicorn billionaire. Sounds easy enough, right?In2ition wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 2:31 pmAfter my initial hopes were sky high, I came back and was thinking that I hope that if it happens that they vet the next potential owner to make sure he isn't a douchebag, treats people well, is a basketball fan, and has deep pockets to pay for and keep a winner to win a title(s).Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 2:19 pmI also can't help but think of the next steps in this once the NBA is officially involved.

This is threadworthy.
Re: Suns News: Week 1 10/17-10/23
Please take Nader's minutes. The guy can't finish around the rim & is pushed around. The only thing he has going for him is his length as a defender.
Go Suns!

And he is one of the only guys that consistently drove to the rim last year.

Ish Wainright is a practice player. There are bigger issues with the roster if he's getting rotation minutes.

There he is! Thank you for restoring order to my world, sauceman. So happy to "see" you!specialsauce wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 6:31 pmI can consistently drive to the rim, so should suns play me? I can turn it over, take horrible shots with ease. Huge eye roll, real big

Lol likewise. Rough start to the season, lots of drama. Nader still sucks through it all though.Superbone wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 6:36 pmThere he is! like always, I am sure you know more than Monty and James Jones.
Re: Suns News: Week 1 10/17-10/23
For a 10 mpg guy, a lot. He puts effort in on defense, he hit 42% of his 3s for us last year, and had the highest % of his FG at the rim of the guys in the rotation last year, besides Ayton.
Re: Suns News: Week 1 10/17-10/23
That can't possibly be true, can it? I swear to god it feels like he bricks about every shot he takes in the paint.
Go Suns!

Yep, he was second -
% of shots within 3 feet -
Ayton 53.0 %
Nader 35.3%
