I honestly thought that they were Wednesday and the back end end of a back to back
To play them before having to travel to the Bay tomorrow isn't cool tbh, I wonder how much we play CP3 tonight "in trying to maintain" our level of play. I know we go with the CP and Cam P backcourt in games that Book has been Out or in Foul trouble but not super fussy about CP3 having such a workload tonight.
Do we start Cam J so that "Sham-Payne" n JaVale bench unit stay together because if Shamet starts then CP3 is coming back on early or the two guard lineup might be Cam P and Elf which we saw briefly the other night which isn't exactly ideal either.

I just want a Suns win. Elfrid Payton and Jalen Smith should get some burn tonight. Pistons don't have a lot of offensive firepower.

Sham needs to ball the f out here and get himself going with easy shots instead of trying to hit 25 footers coming off screens at 80 mph falling sideways.

Thanks for making the thread. I hope the Suns don't look past this game to the one tomorrow. Pistons will want to try to beat us and stop our streak. They aren't very good, but any team can get hot on a given night. It'll be interesting to see Cade play; I haven't really watched many clips of him yet.
It kind of feels like, win or lose vs the Pistons, that it'll be really hard to go into SF tomorrow and beat the Warriors again on tired legs with no Booker. So let's get the win tonight and whatever happens tomorrow, happens.

I am not sure those rhyme in spoken American English, though, as people say the last syllable as 'cut' or 'kit.'
Maybe (although probably not better!)
Injuries and Schedule beginning to make the situation precarious for our Suns, but the team's Next Man Up philosophy gets the streak to 1.5 dozens.

Bench represents for the team, as Suns capture number 18 ...

The suns accomplish something we’ve never seen as their win streak reaches a record eighteen!

I was avoiding rhyming with 'teen' because we have done that for two weeks now.

Some things of note for this game.
This is the 5th and last game of a road trip for the Pistons, who were crushed in Portland two nights ago. They're currently on an 8-game losing streak with their last win coming on November 18th, at home against Indiana.
Their biggest issue seems to be a lack of a point guard. Cunningham is showing promise, but he's not nearly seasoned enough to lead a team to wins as the lead ballhandler right now, and Killian Hayes is probably best suited as an off-ball guard. This has lead to an unsavory amount of playing time for guys like Corey Joseph and Frank Jackson, who are ideally best fitted for sporadic rotation minutes off of the bench.
The Pistons strength is in their size. Grant, Cunningham and Stewart are all athletic and physical for their respective positions, so it'll be important for the Suns to not let them lean on that advantage by making them work defensively through ball movement and lure them into jump shots instead of drives to the rim.

Shamet gets the start.

Games we should win make me nervous. I hope they don’t lose focus after tying the record, taking out the top two teams in consecutive games and achieving first place in the nba.
In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.

Suns go on 8-0 run and CP does the swing thru on Cade to get him his 3rd foul so he's (Cade) sitting for a while.

Gotta say, even as a Suns fan I hate CP3's rip-through fouls. I hope they change the rule and stop calling that.

Why? It's on the defender to not reach in and make themselves vulnerable. If they want to remove the rip-through call, they need to change the hand-check rule.

Bench comes in and takes some control of the game. The Pistons just don't have the shotmakers to keep up. Maybe Bey and Grant but hopefully we can keep Paul, DA and Mikal on the bench a bit in this one. Payne and McGee have it going in the PnR which is always fun to watch.
Re: Game Day: Pistons (4-17) @ Suns (18-3), Thurs 02/12/21
Nothing really going wrong for us up 18 at half. Pistons have no answer for Payne who's just carving them up inside and out for 15pts in 12 minutes. DA is dominating in the paint and hitting a few jumpers. Cam Johnson 12 and 6 in 12 minutes on 5-6 shooting.

And it's usually 25 feet from the basket. No reason to be reaching in that far out.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Thu Dec 02, 2021 7:29 pmWhy? It's on the defender to not reach in and make themselves vulnerable. If they want to remove the rip-through call, they need to change the hand-check rule.

Agree. It's a "you make a stupid move, you're going to pay" foul. The Bobster wrote: ↑Thu Dec 02, 2021 8:18 pmAnd it's usually 25 feet from the basket.
