On the pregame show, Candace Parker mentioned that letting Caruso, Harrell and Caldwell-Pope go hurt the Lakers.
They were energy guys off the bench, playing defense and making hustle plays.

Caruso and KCP were their best defending and shooting role players, and they traded him for a guy who can't shoot and constantly makes dumb defensive errors.

It screams personal favourites rather than objective talent assessment .. LBJ’s team building / talent retention skills the sole reason he’ll struggle to get that 5th ring.

OKC Thunder up next.

I just hope and pray that there's no Covid-19 outbreak on our squad between now and Christmas.

Kinda love seeing Bridges shoot 5/17. He needs to shoot more. Also went 5/9 after starting 0/8.

Book and Cam went 10/19 from 3. Rest of team was 2/22
Believe it or not
I was glad to see him undeterred, 0-5 all up to 0-8 and still looking to attack. Body language didn't change, still was being a menace on D and eventually got some to drop. As Book said post game "trusting the work you put in"

Talen Horton Chucker
Talentless Horton Tucker
Talen Horton Trash

I can't decide on my favorite.
Still remember it was him that was running his mouth to Cam P when LeBron thought it necessary to interject
So I enjoyed him stinking up the joint

I made my feelings clear in my opening post
Any other game I would have just smh and eventually laugh at how cold the guys were, probably expecting law of averages to even out things.

But as it was the Lakers, man I was super pissed in that first half. Don't know why the guys troll me like that

With Chuck not there I lowered my expectations for the jokes that might come or mocking of the Lakers. I quickly turned off when I realize they were spending a whole bunch of time trying to discuss Lakers issues

Lakers are trying to bully the Suns.
Lots of cheap shots to knock Phoenix players off their game.
It didn’t work. Just showed them to be the punk ass bitches that they are.

Lakers are masters of hitting their defenders in the face with their offhand.
Payne took a shot to the face on a layup in the first half and the refs never even looked at. They take 10 minutes reviewing every stupid thing but not that. Book had a bruise and a bloody nose on the bench at one point after a Westbrook layup and I think Crowder got smacked twice. None of them seemed to be by accident and none were reviewed.

The Lakers are a squad of journeymen surrounding 3 names. The team isn't built to win short or long term. And LBJ was complaining about not being full strength. I'd like to see how many minutes that team has played together at "full strength".

53.

If you just go with their preferred starting lineup. If you are talking real full strength as in all their useful players I’m pretty sure it’s zero since Ariza just came back (yes he’s important to them) and Nunn hasn’t seen the court in forever.

Feel the same way about Mikal. He was clearly seeking his shot very aggressively. I wonder how much of it was due to that rock the baby crap Russ pulled. I don’t count myself among Russ haters but he’s not easy to love on the Lakers. Tho it is endearing that he’s helping derail the Lakers by asking Wizards to move him and depleting their depth as well as actively destroying their on court product.

This is the first game I've re-watched since the win streak. I couldn't pass up an opportunity to watch a Lakers ass kicking twice.

I hope Reggie Miller got a check from the Lakers tonight, or maybe his TV analysis was payment for the cost of his young son's courtside seat next to the Lakers bench. Ridiculously one-sided, even for someone as obtuse as Reggie Miller.

This team is so damn good right now and they really embarrassed the Lakers for most of this game. I'm sure they're feeling great after that win, and I just hope they get out of LA COVID-free.

I think it was more about the Lakers putting Wayne Ellington on him. Ellington is one of the worst 1-on-1 defenders in the league, so I think they went to Mikal more than usual to exploit that mismatch.

I’ve noticed CP3 taking it to the hole a little more the last few games.

Those two mid rangers DA hit were in rhythm and looked amazing.

Can’t believe the Suns are actually dominating inside against a lot of teams now. Why didn’t the Lakers play Dwight? He’s out of protocols no?

Mikal was great on D, amazing blocks and steals. Aggression on offense also a welcomed sight.

Payne pressing a bit. He needs to take better quality threes and look to open more space for his shot through passing.

Payton didn’t make it to the court this game did he?

LeBron naturally was in agony after that nasty ankle turn. Oh wait he barely bent that ankle at all.

The refs were pretty bad but honestly nowhere close to the shit they pulled during last playoffs.

Miller commented several times that the Lakers hit the Suns multiple times and didn’t get any reviews, including that hit by THT to Crowder’s nether region. I guess I’ve been conditioned to not expect any active coverage of the Suns by the national media so I was strangely unbothered by the broadcast.

Shel, you are amazing for the tweet aggregation. I get logged out every time I like a post and I figure once in a while your time and effort deserves an actual post instead of a silent thumbs up. Thank you!!!
