Bass is listed at 6’8 200, so I’m not sure about the C label. He was listed as a G in college.

Bummer about JaVale. More Suns will catch it; it's just a matter of time. We are smart to sign some backup guys, though the supply is pretty picked over at this point.

Why not bring in Ty-Shon and Baynes?

Wow, with 4 of the 5 guys on the roster who play center out, we're going to find out what Stix is made of pretty quickly.

Bass was a G/F in college, but he's supposedly 6'8" and a very good rebounder, so who knows? Still, he looks more like Cameron Johnson's size that anything else.

This is a good tryout for these guys that would probably never get a chance otherwise.

Pretty sure Baynes did his knee at the olympics and isn’t available

There have to be more players going down soon. They wouldn't sign this many scrubs if they didn't have major rotation holes coming soon. I bet we find out about 2-3 more guys in protocols tomorrow.

As long as Payton can play, it's all good.

How did Justin Jackson get a 10 day after Chalmers?

This is the Justin Jackson that played for Dallas a few years back? He actually seemed like an nba player, surprised he wasn’t already in the league.

Or is it the other Justin Jackson? I recall there was 2 around the same time in the draft. I really liked the other one, but I don’t remember why, haha. I do know he had a pretty significant wingspan and I thought he could play small ball 5 and shoot the 3. I don’t recall him ever sticking in the nba though.

Do we know which one it is? Haha

In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.

Well, they do have four out - Ayton, Crowder, McGee and Nader, plus Sarić and Kaminsky. But with the Covid numbers being what they are with omicron there are most likely going to be more cases in January.

If the league wasn't all about $$$ they would have put games on hold for a few weeks.

In the last 10 days the league has signed 89 players to 10-day contracts.

IIRC there is a UNC one and a Maryland one. The UNC JJ was drafted by the Kings and went to the Mavs later I believe. He was 6’7 or 6’8 with a 7’1 or 7’2 wingspan, and I think the Maryland one was also long but I’d never seen him play in college or the pros.

Justin Jackson is probably as solid a name as you'll find. Thought he'd be a solid 3/4 with his size and skills but couldn't stick with the Kings or Mavs. At least he's been an NBA rotation guy who has some legit playing experience in the NBA.

Ya, it appears we got the UNC one. I was excited about the Maryland one, but it doesn’t look like he ever played a game in the nba. I looked him up and he had a great freshman year, followed by a injury riddled and poor sophomore year. Got drafted, but he has no nba stats on bball-ref
