Re: Around the League: Week 15 (1/24 to 1/30)
I’ll move this to the new week thread:
No Simmons trade? Or just trying to get Simmons to give in and play?

Some good stuff in here about Eric Gordon as a top trade target for contenders, nice section on Biyombo, and some all star stuff amongst other things.

Morey is terrified of "losing" a trade. I'd be so pissed if I were a 76ers fan.

Ya they are wasting an MVP worthy Embiid season. Simmons won’t have more value in the summer.

Update on the Rising Stars Competition. TL:DR for me.
Re: Around the League: Week 15 (1/24 to 1/30)
That’s an interesting format. Might be a way to get fans excited about a mid season tournament. That’s the first time I’ve been intrigued by an ASW event in a long while.

Can you imagine the hysteria in one of our gameday threads if the Suns pulled this BS?

Celtics blasted the Kings, 128-75. Sacramento had one (1) player in double figures: Hield with 11.
Window is open again ... blue skies ahead?

That is crazy. Not a good night for the Kings and Wiz.LazarusLong wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 8:33 pmCeltics blasted the Kings, 128-75. Sacramento had one (1) player in double figures: Hield with 11.

With the Wizards......
Believe it or not this is not a case where "a picture is worth a thousand words"
You have to see some video to really grasp how ridiculous the sequence of events were in that game
Kindly take the couple mins to watch and as "FF" said, imagine how our usually very civil msg forum would have been smh lol

Wow, that's just crazy.
Re: Around the League: Week 15 (1/24 to 1/30)
They would have been better off just lobbing the ball toward the basket rather than getting that 5 second call.

They should have at least tried to foul still with 1.0 seconds left.

I guess that’s why some teams are wary of fouling up 3…Beal looked like he tried to foul, but ref didn’t call it until Kennard took the shot.
Also with a 6 point lead and the ball, Washington should have held the ball instead of scoring quickly with 40 seconds left…could have ran that down to 16 seconds…though it might not have mattered with how they finished anyways

Trez and Kuz were selling in that game. Some dumb defense going on too. There is no excuse for that.

Re: Around the League: Week 15 (1/24 to 1/30)
You don't wait until the shooter gets around a screen to try and foul. You foul Winslow when he is facing away from the hoop holding the ball. He is an 18% 3P shooter and 52% FT shooter. So dumb.Split T wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 10:54 amI guess that’s why some teams are wary of fouling up 3…Beal looked like he tried to foul, but ref didn’t call it until Kennard took the shot.
