Suns News: Week 18 (2/14 - 2/20)
Re: Suns News: Week 18 (2/14 - 2/20)
Kinda interesting Crowder didn’t make the list. He’s been a more impactful player than a few guys here.

Sorry but Bled doesn't belong on there at all.dragickingdom wrote: ↑Fri Feb 18, 2022 1:24 pmNo love for Bledsoe at $2? Lol
Our current starting 5 with Cam as the 4 is $21.

Doesn’t Bledsoe go on the list that has Luc Longley, Michael Beasley and Marcus Morris?

No Grant Hill, either.

Ya that’s strange too, especially with a guy like Gerald Green on it. Don’t get me wrong, I loved Green’s 1 year with us, but he’s not one of the 25 guys I’d think of when discussing suns players of the last 20 years.

Eric Bledsoe is an emotionless void. He makes Elfrid Payton look like Jim Carrey in comparison. I hated having him on the team, not a care in the world and a true loser as our point guard.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton
Re: Suns News: Week 18 (2/14 - 2/20)
I wouldn’t put him that low. He was a flawed player asked to do way too much on a bad team. Obviously didn’t love the way he left, but I don’t blame him for wanting out of that shit show.MightyMoog wrote: ↑Fri Feb 18, 2022 2:15 pmDoesn’t Bledsoe go on the list that has Luc Longley, Michael Beasley and Marcus Morris?

These things would be more fun if instead of $$ it just forced you to pick one player from each tier to fill out your team. By those rules (and having to use this stupid ranking/roster of guys) my team would be:
Tier 1: Amare (really hard choice, and he isn't the best player in this tier, but way better than any 5 you can get below)
Tier 2: Joe
Tier 3: Cam
Tier 4: Bell
Tier 5: Rubio (easily the best value player in the bottom tier)

What a throwback! I never knew Javale McGee was in the dunk contest! These are truly creative dunks.

People couldn't look past the fact of how long/tall JaVale is so they downplayed his stuff. I agree with you though

So weird that we haven’t gotten a Paul update yet. You’d think if he’s gonna be out a little while, they’d say something so someone (maybe Mikal) could take his spot in the ASG. Maybe that means he’s OK, but this team has never been clear on recovery timelines.

I don't think it's weird and actually seems the standard practice for the Suns these days. They've become very good at keeping important news like this a secret in the moment.
My hunch is Paul wants to "play" in the game because Monty is coaching, but he won't see much time on the court, if any at all.

Ya, no news feels like good news to me. Suns haven’t had any media availability and you know we don’t offer up info if we don’t have to. But the fact he hasn’t withdrawn from the all star game seems positive.

That’s interesting…here’s a fun one:
Marion
JJ
Cam
Bell
Oubre
Ultimate wing lineup. Switch everything, though probably not enough ball handling.
Could switch Bell for Frye and Oubre for Rubio if you want more traditional:
Rubio/JJ/Cam/Marion/Frye

Paul is also on the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, so he was always planning to travel to Cleveland this weekend.
In the unlikely scenario that he does back out of the game before Sunday, I could see the NBA asking Anthony Edwards to take his spot.

Edwards makes sense, he’d already be in Cleveland for the rising stars challenge. Is he in the dunk contest too?

I enjoy passing so this lineup would give me an aneurism.

What's the rule for these things? We're getting these guys at their career peak or just on the Suns?
Paul - 5
Richardson - 3
Green - 1
Marion - 5
McGee - 1

Re: Suns News: Week 18 (2/14 - 2/20)
Haha, ya the offense would be pretty rough. Lots of JJ and Oubre isos while we’re upset Cam and Raja are wide open at 3 but never get the ball. Marion would probably feel entitled to try and self create and it would go poorly. But defensively they’d cause chaos haha
