Brewer gives them added D in boatloads, especially on the perimeter. His weakness is that his shot is on or very off. But Houston has plenty of offense, so any scoring they get from him is gravy.

Huh. I listen to the Eye on Basketball podcast a lot, and the guy there Zack Harper *HATES* Brewer. So I don't know if that's a good pickup for Houston or not. Get the sense that he's got talent but is inconsistent?

Overall maybe a little overrated but he is a pesky defender, active and runs a lot of fastbreaks, can finish pretty well. Has reputation as a shooter but could be more prolific/reliable. Covers a need for the Rockets as backup SF so the move itself makes a lot of sense for them. Also basically inexpensive as expiring contract and assets wise (two 2nsRs and 3pt specialist Troy Daniels).

Green is one of the most spectacular players in his own way, akin to the likes of Korver.
